The thing is we dont do these kind of things
We usually buy cheaper players and hope they act as superstars.
This is more of a Real Madrid kind of method.. We dont want to be like them dont we I mean who would want to win only 12 CL titles?!

Sanchez is a great player one who could be the difference between CL final and CL winners but given Sanchez salary demands I really dont think we can get him.. City or no City I dont think it actually matters..
Chelsea Man Utd Bayern Real PSG are teams who can afford him but we are not among them...
Hack even on FM I couldnt buy him because he wasnt intersted
People in the Prem have really short memories plus always make a noise about attitude and so on. If his form continues, no one out of the big boys there will be willing to shell out 30 mill in Jan plus im confident Arsene will be looking to sell.

nah. Chiellini is same age and i expect him to go on for another 2-3 seasons. Mascherano can still be a class DM
Let's add youth. We have enough oldies.

2-3 years? Sorry, but I don't want a 37 year old midget CB, he doesn't have the physicality, unlike Chiello. Maybe on a 1 year contract, but i doubt he'd be willing to sign one.

i dont like him as a CB either but as a DM? hell yes. id take 40 yo healthy Mascherano over almost anybody

You do realise past season in UCL against Barca, they had Mascherano as DM and was arguably one of theyr worst performers against Juve or any other world-class sides? As much as i like Mascherano, this transfer is a couple of years too late if it really is to happen, he is still a decent player but a slow one this days and nowhere near what we need in midfield, only reason i'd see us going for him is his versatility which can help both as CB and DM but seriously now, Mascherano is not the player that used to be...

I woudnt be too happy about it tbh, especially when i think about our mercatto strategies so far the only thing that comes to mind is that a free buy like Mascherano would result most probably in no other quality reinforcements in midfield...
