Juventus are reportedly considering a swoop for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl but face stiff competition.

CalcioNews24 cites reports in the foreign Press, which state Juve are “ready to launch an assault” for Weigl.

However, the same reports suggest Barcelona and Manchester City are also interested in the 22-year-old, while Real Madrid were linked with him at the start of the year.

Furthermore, Dortmund would not be prepared to sell him for any less than €50m.

Weigl joined BVB in 2015 from 1860 Munich and slotted straight into the void left by Ilkay Gundogan, representing Germany at Euro 2016 barely 12 months later.

CalcioNews24 describes the starlet as having “great feet” and the potential “to become an important player for any team.”
 us, Launching an Assault I can only imagine

I wish the absolute best for all our players heck I want Ruru to become WC RB:D
I was praying to see Higuain deal the killer blow vs his ex club on the biggest game of his career but oh well....i doubt we're good enough to make a deep run in the cl yet alone making to the final. Truth be told I'd rather get knocked out in semis then lose another final.

But if we do make to final and we win with a Higuain hattrick im naming my first born Gonzalo:D
You had me until Ruru the rightback, baby. :p

I know you only want the best for this team, brother. Even the Mottas and Molinaros. If Higgy hits the heights in the final, then that 90M will have instantly been worth it. Almost certainly never going to actually be worth that price tag, but he's ours now.

2-7 sure does hurt. I think this may end up being something of a transition year for Juve, Semis would surprise me given how things have gone so far, but we'll see how it all shapes up once the midfield and defence are completely healthy. Obviously underperforming at the moment. Would be great if Howedes could give us something.

Bepps should be scouting a RB and another midfielder ASAP. Would love to see a quality January add.

are we gonna buy cb and rb in january? can caldara and spinnazola bring back?
If DeSciglio and Howedes are not injured around December/January there is probably no chance that they would bring in any new back-ups, tho i woudnt rule out a move for a LB/RB if for example Asamoah ends up with Galatasaray this winter.

Anyway, i guess it's too early to really know what will happen in January...

We should use Rugani more often. He can develop into one of the best Cbs around

We should try to get a decent RB in jan if we can but let's hope howedes comes back strong.

- - - Updated - - -

Don't forget Gimenez :weee:

Where is @rakib567 to make this work?

Lets see here, feel free to correct the math:

Out: Buffon, Licht, Asa, Khedira, Barzagli, Benatia (really?)

GK: Piotr's guy, backup (?)
RB: Hysaj($?), MDS
CB: Rugani, Caldara (own), Chiellini, De Vrij (free), Gimenez (free), Howedes (?)
LB: Sandro, Spinazzola (own)
CM: Pjanic, SMS ($40m + Lord Passback), Marchisio, Can (free), Bencantur
AM: Cuads, DC, Bernie, Dybala, Pjaca
ST: Higuain, MARIO $#@!ING MANDZUKIC :)touched:)

- - - Updated - - -

We wouldn't be spending a lot of money :D
No to Hysaj. we would have to pay 50mil+

Sidibe, Lirola, Spinazzola, Odriozola, Soares, Henrichs, Meunier.

Plus the exit of (Buffon, Licht, Asa, Khedira, Barzagli, Benatia) would really bring us down. We would lose too many leaders

Khedira is a leader? :howler: :numnum:

Everyone on that list is replaceable; in fact, a few of them have become liabilities, hindrances rather than assets. The only one who's gonna be tough to replace, if not impossible, is Buffon. He'll be missed for his charisma, leadership style, in addition to his influence on proceedings on the pitch. Forever a calming influence you are Gigi. :touched:

Totally agree about Gigi being absolutely impossible to replace. Ultimate leader, ultimate champion, great perspective, ridiculous experience.

Beautiful human being.

Sometimes players aren't necessarily the team's leaders, but can still be key locker room/team guys. Can still give a boost to the group, bring people together.

I would think Licht and Asa probably fall into that category, given how long they've been part of the club, and the success they've shared in. I'm sure there are some pretty darn close friendships in that locker room.

But they're also both basically subpar for a team like Juventus at this point, and we should be looking at replacing them ASAP.

We just need Spinazzola to become part of our traditional Italian defensive block. Right or left doesn't matter, he'll do fine. Then add SMS & Caldara and we're set. Maybe another LB or RB depending on what Inzaghi wishes :snoop:

Sell Asamoah, Licht & Benatia to cover the losses.

What about Stu? Is there no way we can sell that phony pseudo footballer? :sigh:

Well easier said than done. We keep thinking about adding 1-2 players every year but the complete opposite is happening as we see. Last 3 years we have been adding 6-7 new faces on an average.
Somehow I think SMS will end up costing a lot of money and we may have to finance it with a big sale which once again would be a stupid move.
