Need someone with a strong spine, a no-nonsense guy like Conte. A Sturaro but with actual skill, so more towards Vidal but not him. Buffon is a great leader, no question, but I feel like we need someone else on the field commanding more authority. To drive us through tough games and challenge us. The ones that are rumoured to join us are good players but I would prefer someone fitting into that particular role. Mario is important for us in this regards but he is not a leader like Conte, Deschamps and the likes used to be on the field.

I do not see Caldara being that guy right now, perhaps he could become one, but it is too much ask that of him now and maybe he isn't that type? I don't know about the latter. Emre Can and the rest certainly don't fit that description IMO.

Chiellini strikes me as that guy from our current players. Interested to see how Matuidi develops after he's settled in, the guy was part of the core at both Saint-Etienne and PSG, could become an important leader for us in the near future, but I agree, our most talented players like Dybala, Pjanič or Sandro are not really the type you're describing.

A pacey midfielder woudnt't be bad either, someone that can tackle/recover but also start counter-atacks with his pace and technique, a Edgar Davids type of midfielder would actually fit really well in today's Juventus; the Conte example is a pretty good one aswell especially in terms of leadership.

Tho i think there are no available players that actually fit this description....

If he is as good as some here say, make no mistake that there will be competition for him and if his value is as they say, than i woudnt be so sure Lazio would accept Juve's offer if it comes to a bidding war...
Apparently his agent said he wants Juve :boh:

Hopefully we learned from the verratti saga

Now that really seems to be a bargain lol, never seen this guy play tho i did hear about his move to looserpool, must admit i'm impressed he seems to be a mixture of iniesta's technique and david's engine/aggresivity only not that physical. I am surprised how did we never really made a offer for him given the presented bargain opportunity that Marotta always seeks, or maybe it wasnt the bargain price he was looking for, knowing Beppe, he probably considered offering 20M

To twist the discussion a bit, when i see all this rumours about Vidal going to Inter i cant stop but think how well that grinta would fit at Juve right now... I know is not realistic but if he is really to leave Bayern we should really consider him, there really is no better cheaper alternative atm.

65 mln for a CM who had one great season in Bundesliga it's not really a bargain.

I thought is 40M euros, but if pounds yes, might not look like much of a bargain for 65M but when you consider his age and potential in today's market, next summer we probably could'v seen maybe 100M offers if he only repeats just half of what we seen in that video...
