Only panic buys if we got injuries or lacked depth. I think right now we are in a better situation in terms of depth or cover for injuries. Not sure what type of player would come in now as a panic buy. Unless we snag Can in Jan which is possible but to me that wouldnt be a bad thing. He is above the likes of padoin lol.

Note..panic buy barzagli is one of the best transfers over the past decade. Caceres was always a talent in my eyes as well.

I think the only panic one was Matri. We paid actual money for him if I remember. But then we were in dire circumstances then and no one would play for us.

The rest were pretty cheap and were just insurance. I remember Anelka was borderline free and was like 4th or 5th choice.
