What other reason could there possibly be?

And who cares if they get Suarez? That move has literally nothing to do with us.
actually it has everything to do with us, arsenal can only loan this January, they want a midfielder badly, barca only want to sell not loan. Arsenal will not sacrifice a midfielder now not to get one they want unless we or someone pays them to fund their move for suarez and 10 mill will not buy that

Honestly for a douche like benatia who has been whining and won't see playing time, this is a financial work of poetry sell him for 10 mil plus bonuses and sign his replacement for 600k then add atop that the salary savings shiiiiiiit

Finally someone who has actually seen sense in this deal. Yet here we are people moaning about receiving 10 mill for a bench player and justifying letting starting 11 players in the past go for nothing

Financially yes. Benatia forces an issue so paratici makes a keen financial decisions to bring in a CB who won't see playing time at all by saving salary and making 9+ mil in a sale.

No it isn't. And why are are concerning ourselves with finances in January?

We haven't been this close to the CL in years, and we are going to offload our 3rd choice CB, because yes, he is more complete than Rugani, for 10 million Euro?

But only financially.
Well yes in quality benatia is better but he obviously wanted to play and we needed a body. Caceres will be lucky to play in Coppa Italia

Caceres normale benatia were going to be on the CL roster so why would this impact that ?

Benatia wasn't going to be on the CL roster? You sure about that?

And we are talking about a CB who could walk into a majority of other teams starting XI in Serie A vs a guy who can't get off the bench for Lazio.

For fucking Lazio. We better hope that Bon Bon and Chiellini are fit for the rest of the year, because if they are out for any extended period of time, we are fucked. Royally fucked.

so why didn't any of those clubs come in for him and make us an offer better than the 'measly' 10 mill?

That is not the point. What will happen if Chiellini and/or Bonucci are out for an extended period of time? What happens then? Rugani and Caceres?

I have to laugh at those who somehow think that Caceres is a better option at CB than Benatia under ANY circumstance.
