Then why Bayern even considers getting rid of him.

There are different reasons why.

1. He’s unsettled and has issues with the coach.
2. He’s technically still on loan from Real Madrid - where he wants to return (and they would happily have him back) which hasn’t gone down well with the Bayern hierarchy as they were supposed to purchase him at the end of his 2 year loan spell.

James is comfortably better than Asensio. In fact, it’s not even up for discussion. Asensio is still really yet to prove his quality. He has had great moments but is too in and out of games. Currently, he doesn’t have a defined role or position - often being shunted out to the LW where his play is limited to just running down the touch line and firing crosses into the box aimlessly. His best position would be as a false #9 or #10 to really get the best out of his qualities. He doesn’t have blistering pace so he’s a bit wasted out wide. He has good short passing and immense shot power and technique (his best attributes imo) which would be better utilised in the middle. He’s also too one footed for my liking. At the moment, he’s in bad form and is below L.Vasquez in the pecking order for Madrid. Great player with potential but not what Juve need at all. He’s actually not that dissimilar to Dybala in terms of playing style. At least with James he can play further back so would be like an additional midfielder rather than forward which is what Asensio really is..
