I dont know if I like it that much
Yes we will definitely be a better team as Marcelo is the best LB in the world but he isnt young and we need to build for the present but also for the future
Marcelo has 2 years in him and then he will become second rate player
A.Sandro might not be as good as Marcelo but he can last longer.
Will I smile when I see Marcelo here?! Ofcourse! but its not just bright..

As for Pogba I really hope to see him here again but Im worried about Dybala`s ability to play 4-3-3 and if we play 4-2-3-1 we cant really play Pogba in the middle or can we?
I doubt he's lasting long at Juve, it's been year and a half since he deserved a raise to the 2.8m salary, but he can't seem to agree on anything with our board, this won't end well,

Buy the opposition's best player before the tie :beppe:
It reminds me of the days we were linked to the opponent`s best player before we faced them
The one I remember the most was Miccoli but we ended up getting him so maybe this is an exception.. (He, Diego and Henry IMO were the three best players who didnt fulfil their potential here)

Miccoli was very very good, but his personality and Del Piero happened.

Really don't like that rule, just makes the "big" clubs all the more stronger.
I don’t like it either! Yes it does benefit us but it also works in favour of those filthy rich pseudo-big clubs like QSG and MC. Their shopping spree would be extended to winter and it won’t even affect their CL campaign.

Miccoli`s talent was easy to see and if you see comments of previous players who played with both some say Miccoli is the best player they played with
DP obviously was better as otherwise Miccoli would have taken his spot but Miccoli just couldnt earn himself a starter status at Juve

Henry was an amazing talent but we blew it with him

Diego was good IMO and I might even say I rated Diego high but then Quag came and did more in terms of results on the field even though Diego was setting our play nicely - obviously he couldnt do all by himself
I wonder what Diego would have done with a better team - Would he be that beast from Werder Bremen (I think it was them) or would he just act as the weakest link

Miccoli was so small, that gk's couldn't see the start of free kicks he took, and when they reacted, it was too late haha. Seriously great player. Maybe benassi, barella, chiesa etc are the future of Italy

Announce Barella

We need a world class midfielder if we want to win the CL.
What Barella has to do with it?
Yeah he is talented but WC?! He has a long long way in order to become one..
You want a WC mid - we have 3 options but since 1 might come on a free next summer I`d say our options are 2 and you already know the names..

I've got mixed feelings about the idea of bringing Marcelo to Juventus.

On the one hand, he's by far the best LB in the world in the post-Carlos era, and he'll likely maintain the same level for another couple of years.

On the other hand, if the left flank of Juventus looks like Marcelo - Ronaldo, it will definitely feel like a part of that successful Real Madrid within Juventus. I don't know, maybe it's only me, and it definitely sounds weird, but if Juventus wins UCL with them, it will feel like 30% of the title or so belongs to Real Madrid, and Juventus is just unable to win it without their courtesy of sharing with Juventus some of their players.

It's different with Ronaldo, since CR7 is CR7, he's always on his own. But CR7 + Marcelo probably would be too much and kind of bad for the "cogency" of the much anticipated European title.

Without doubt this has been a quality Mercato. My gripe for a few seasons was to improve our starting 11. But we should have done that when we had that midfield of Pogba, Vidal, Pirlo and Casper. Imagine that midfield with our forwards we have now. It’s a case if IF’s and But’s now. We need to make the most of Ronaldo here in terms of raising quality. Unless we’ve mullered or budget for the next 2 season!!? Then I guess it’s a case of as you were.
