I personally think Meret's agility and shot stopping ability is better, Donnarumma has height and a big frame to his advantage but in the long run I'd gamble on Meret to be the better keeper in the future.

Remember scuffet? a lot was said about him but I genuinely think Meret is the real deal. His performance with the u19 Italy side in the summer was absolutely un-real especially his performance vs Germany
So you are more impressed by one u 19 game then someone who has been starting and impressing weekly for a season and half in Serie A since he was 16?

Btw I saw same U 19 game too, and Meret was impressive, but that's all it was, he is playing in Serie B despite being older then Donnarumma so just saying ease up on overhyping too soon.

What about Neto? Can we cash on him for real? I thought he was working on being the Brazil NT goalkeeper. That is a hard thing to achieve in the shadow of Buffon, unless they call him up so he can share his instagram pics. Maybe he would be better getting 1-2 years on loan in another team - given that Buffon is targeting WC 2018.

Yup, Meret is basically one of your usual GK talents, some of which become good, very few truly great and most turn out somewhat mediocre.

Donnarumma on the other hand is one of those one in a million talents, very difficult to see him not becoming worldclass...

Its really a pity. He is stuck in Paris , when he should be our captain. Its the perfect fit, and he probably knows it himself.

Guess we have to settle for Witsel, Nzonzi or Kessie.
:wth:  Our Captain?! Come on man. We have Buffon, and Bonucci and Marchisio are next in line. I still think we will get Verratti, but when he is 26 or 27, and fed up of living in Paris and only winning Ligue 1.

Kessie and N'Zonzi are both very good players, so I'd settle for them. They are definitely an upgrade over both Hernanes and Stururu.

Fuck Parolo. Definitely not what we need. We should be aiming for much better, even in January.

No read again I said his performance in the summer with the u19s was impressive, his performance vs Germany was a prime example

Also I'm praising him for his current shot stopping ability and agility, I never actually said Meret is currently better than Donnarumma, if that were the case Meret would be in the main set up for the national team but as I said I believe Meret will be the better keeper in the long run

It's a matter of opinion, not really overhyping him in any means
