I'm really curious what Beppe, Pavel & Fabio have in store for us come January. They were disappointed in their summer market so they must have some resources available. Witsel is almost a must at this point and it'll be very hard to swallow if we don't get him or some other CL eligible player. Therefor another midfielder has to go, to fit the team standards in Serie A. And finally the RB question marks must be resolved; continue with Lichtsteiner and reintegrate him in the CL squad or replace him. A new RB in the CL squad also means another omission here. So 2 players must be dropped from the list. Asamoah probably the first.

I don't think they were disappointed per se, but to target Gundogan and Matuidi, and end up with no muscle in midfield was kinda underwhelming. N'Zonzi isn't eligible for the CL, and I'm not quite sure if Witsel is gonna make that much of a difference in Europe, but we definitely need reinforcements if we want to be serious contenders. Asamoah (unreliable), and Lemina (too inexperienced) will be away for 5-6 weeks due to AFCON, and both Hernanes and Stururu aren't good enough. We need someone who can rotate with Pjanic, Khedira, and Marchisio, so they can be fresh for those European nights, and someone who can adequately fill for them in case of an injury or suspension. It's a shame we missed out on Diawara. @Mark rates Bazoer highly, and he'd cost around 20 million. I doubt Atalanta would give us Kessie in January, but we should definitely tie that deal up for the summer.

it's not like I've seen a lot of games of him to rate him like that but looks promising. We do need some fast moving mids who know what to do with a ball and not be clueless defensively.
