Not on the same level...
I`d like to see us go for Sanchez though just imagine Dybala Higuain Sanchez trio - simply mind blowing trio!
Mahrez wouldnt be bad as well though
The difference in level is actually very much debateable since Mahrez really only has 1 good season whereas Berardi is now showing his skillset for multiple seasons in a row. He's also very young, Italian and proven Serie A quality. Shouldn't even be a choice.

Sanchez would be my top pick as well but he's out of our reach by now, I guess.

We need Witsel and two or even three other CMs.

Hernanes, Sturaro, Asamoah and possibly Khedira have to go.
Hyperbole much.

Lot will depend on him signing or not signing a new contract at Arsenal. He's current one is up at the end of 2018. Don't see us going for him or him being a realistic target either way.

If we're looking at signing a winger forget Mahrez and Payet, Felipe Anderson is the man for the job. Been back to his best again this season and been one of the best players in Serie A. Don't think we need any wingers though other than Berardi hopefully.

lol bro, you just benched Dybi for Payet and Mahrez? I wouldn't even sign them, yet alone make them starters (maybe Mahrez but Payet no thanks)
I actually just forgot about him :)

He will be playing for Barcelona.. how else would we afford payet and mahrez

Payet and Mahrez and substantially more talented in my opinion.

Do not agree. Actually Felipe Anderson is easily the most talented and was easily the most highly regarded as a youngster. Mahrez and Payet have shown a bit more until now in their careers but Payet is much older and Mahrez has only had one very good season thus far.

Highly talented players don't move to play for Leicester for a 500k transfer fee. Payet has always been a talented player but did a good job of not utilizing it till the past couple of seasons.

Who is available (and not cup-tied) in Jan? I have a feeling we will get Kessie and Caldara in the summer (buy them in Jan, and leave them in Bergamo until the end of the season). However, who can we realistically buy in January to aid our CL push? Is Bazoer of Ajax ready? Are we even gonna get Witsel? I don't believe Rincon of Genoa is anywhere near good enough, and we don't need more quantity (we have that in abundance with the likes of Stururu and Hernanes on the roster). Tolisso, Nzonzi, and Herrara are all cup tied. I'd definitely go all out for Verratti next summer.

Difference in current level is not debateable at all... Potential ability they are both extremely talented and Berardi could actually become a better player in the future.. For now though there is no contest!

As much as I love to have Verratti it's not doable and I can see us moving on James.

Witsel now. Kessie, Dahoud, James, Berardi & Lirola in the summer :tuttosport:

In favor of the guy who has proven to not be a one-season wonder, right?
