But replacing Gigi? That's going to be tough. Not just because of his amazing performances on the field, but his charisma, leadership and general awesomeness...its next to impossible to find another one like him.
:agree:

good thing he aint no prima donna. we've seen too often players growing bigger than their club - totti

i think we are in a pretty good shape to replace him. we've got a few kulturträgers (culture bearers) in Bonucci, Chiellini, Marchisio and a couple of younger guys who could become culture bearers within a decent tiem frame.

But.. if we don't - under the assumption Buffon would like to - sign him to a role close to the team, when he retires. Whelp! The worst thing would to see a personality like his becoming a pundit. That would be a waste of talent.

So technically we could sign him for free
In 2018, yes.

Quite confident he'll sign a new contract when he turns 18 in 5 months. Most likely with an anti juve-clause in it, which means he'll be heading for Spain or Englando, when he gets fed up with Milans mediocrity.

I doubt it. I don't think Raiola would give up such a leverage in future transfer talks just for some immediate bonuses. Mino is a fucktard, but he really protects his assets.
On the other hand, it would be really cool to see Milan inserting anti-juve clause in players contract, like some kind of napoli and shit. Glorious times.

It would be awesome but its not going to happen! I doubt he will be such an ungrateful bitch to leave on a free a club which is considered one of the best in the world when they gave him a chance in the age of 16!
Milan might not be one of the best in the world right now but their reputation and history surely is!

Leali :touched:

We will see how he performs in Greece :baus:
Dont know - I mean If he is still that promising wouldnt many Serie A clubs be all over him?
I think Leali isnt really being considered as Buffons future replacement and his replacement will probably be known within a year or two

I don't think so either but if he performs well for a year or 2 with Olympiacos maybe he gets a chance. Hopefully he starts there.

I don't understand why idinese are playing their greek gk rather than Scuffett. No wonder italian football is so behind
Udinese has never cared about developing Italians. They only care about making profits and avoiding relegation.

But that doesn't change the fact it has nothing to do with Scuffet not playing for Udinese. The Greek goalie is preferred because he is considered better, it's that simple.

I wonder if Scuffet or Meret will ever be good. Look at Leali and Bardi, both of them were once considered future stars. I like Perin. I also rate Consigli and Sportiello. And then of course there is Donnarumma. We have quality Italian GKs. I hope Perin can be Buffon's heir here. I love Donnarumma but Raiola would move him just a few years after moving here.

How many italian stars moved away from juventus to foreign teams ?

Calciopoli doesnt count.
Zero during the Marotta era. Also only 2 foreign stars. I don't count Tevez or Pirlo because they were retiring from Europe. Mainly I just keep going back to that Raiola quote where he said he would have moved Messi several times if he were his client. I feel like he would move Donnarumma after 4 years or so. But I suppose we can't live in fear of possibilities and instead should just sign the best players. I have changed my mind lets get Donnarumma :D

He wanted to move Nedved aswel. Nedved, who cried when he had to leave Lazio and sticked with us in serie b.

In the end, the player decides. Key Italian players leaving juve doesnt happen.

nedved recieved the Ballon d'or as juventus player.key italian players never leave coz Juve are dominating Serie A.if we go to serie B like 2006 they will join another league and play for a better team.

My heart can't get gray hair, it's bald. Birth defect.
Hope you can never see eyebrows ever again. Everyone you look at will be eyebrowless, but they'll have normal brows and everything, it's gonna be just you and your eyes.

You'll never get off ever again.
