If you think about we did a whole mercato without any cash, that's pretty good though i really lament the purchase of paredes and the loaning out of cambiaso. Tremendous effort no doubt from mgmt but i just don't know if it will translate in the field. I'm not optimistic tbh

One of the Argies on the forum seems to think Paredes is a decent signing. Not a world-beater, but a useful player for us. Too high wages are the biggest problem with his signing imo.

Would have liked to see a LB signed to start after they loaned Cambiaso. That seems a little ridiculous.

Interesting. Agree Paredes' wage is too high, even if I think he was a good signing. Mirretti will surely be getting an extension and wage bump if he keeps playing like he has been

Loved our outgoings more than our incomings. We’ve done really well to slash our humongous wage bill and it’ll get even better from next year when Sandro, Rabiot, Cuadrado etc depart.

We are still badly lacking in the fullback positions and we badly nddd another solid CB option, but with all of the cash saved now, I expect us to make a move or two in winter. And next summer I hope and expect for us to finish plugging the holes left in our squad.

At best hes gonna be 3rd choice, or 4th choice in a 3 man backline imo. For a Juve that is actually good.

I think you need starting calibers on the bench too. Milik is fine as vice Vlahovic, but we need 3 starter level wingers, 4-5 CMs, 3 starter level fullbacks and 3 CBs too. Someone to replace Szczesny and Perin staying. Then we can say we are going back to where we used to be some years ago, quality and depth to neutralize any injury crisis we might have

Well to me, Miretti, Rovella and Fagioli can give you two already, or even 3. Then you have Pogba and Loca. Paredes, I guess chances are slim that we don't use the obligation, but I think our midfield, for once, should be covered. CF too. We need one CB then (Gatti as 3rd choice and Bumucci as 4th choice on his retirement tour hopefully), a starting RB and LB, with Danilo able to play both sides, plus maybe Kostic. Then 2 wings, maybe we keep Di Maria or add another cheap stop gap like him while we go for Zaniolo. But we will have to sell ofcourse, Rugani, Kean, De Sciglio, McKennie, Zak, Arthur and I hope Szczesny. That's 5 good signings and a lot of selling, I hope we will manage to do it.

Hopefully both Pool and Chelsea sign up Arthur and Zakaria.

Looking at this graphic, Parepiss's wages doesn't look too bad. He's costing us less than Bremer in terms of gross wages. I thought the gross amount would be much higher.

Sandro, Bonucci and Szczesny's wages needs to be cleared of our books asap tho.

Its not that I think its a bad deal, nor do I think Paredes is a useless player. I think him together with pogba, loca/miretti will make the midfield become functional. I just dont think he deserves to be among the 2nd highest earner in the squad, considering his age, injury record and overall quality.

Credit where credit is due that wage bill is a lot more sustainable than it was 12 and particularly 24 months ago. That clearly seems to have been the sim of the Mercato.

What a wonderful hospital pass of Arthur to pool on deadline day. There’s no way they’ll take up the option and buy him outright because he is such a poor footballer and I’m sure he’ll be back with us next season but at least we’ve got his salary off the books. The Zak deal also if made permanent looks to be a good bit of opportunistic business.

Gross wages are the only meaningful ones to club. Net means nothing to the club. I still think he’s being paid too much, but it’s not to some ridiculous degree.
