We have to go after a strong midfielder and a security blanket for Dybala since he is staying and we are so reliant on him there is no one to play through the middle when he goes out.
So Zakaria and Julian Alvarez please. Shouldn't take more than 25m to get both. And Alvarez can play all 4 positions across the attack
If we have to cover his salary and/or pay some loan fee on top of that (PSG doesn't need the loan, they rich enough to keep him), then we're simply wasting money.
Icardi hasn't done jack shit for 2 or even 3 years now. He's not hungry anymore, he's already made it. We've got plenty like him in this squad and we're desperate to offload them.
Locatelli and Chiesa were great signings but their impact hasn't been too profound, we're not doing much better than last year. I think we need to make incremental improvements with smaller, low-risk signings. It doesn't sound exciting but when Ramsey/Arthur/Rabiot signings don't pay off, it really hurts us in subsequent transfer windows.
He got to score plenty of goals in his career (Anderlecht, Fulham and our NT) and plenty of people do rate him, but imo he's such a dumb tree of a player, I'd hate to see him here.
There was some news about us wantin him and I almost threw up.

Is Zakaria really that good? I admit I never saw him live or maybe never paid attention actually.
Looks like a beefed up McKennie with more drive but questionable ball skills. I don't think he offers that much offensively, more of a physical DM, no? If so, I struggle to understand what he fixes for us.

I haven’t watched him too much either but he does seem more defensive minded than McKennie. Don’t think he’s someone we need to get into a bidding war over though. That Kone guy looks more interesting, at least on paper. He averages 2 tackles a game, which is superior to Zakaria. So is his key pass rate. Also 5 years younger. Seems the type you should secure before he explodes
