Can't be worse than morata/kean
It can be. And it is so far. He’s got 3 goals-0 assists in 750 minutes/18 appearances this season. Kean has 3 goals - 0 assists in 576 minutes. Morty has 6 goals - 2 assists in 1400 minutes.

We need an improvement. Not more of the same, if not worse.

Yes, it can get worse. He's not even match fit, it will take weeks or even months before he gets there and gets some understanding with the team. It's not like he's in some hot form right now.
In the end we pay ~9m for the 3- 5 goals he will score which we can also get from Morata and Kean as long as Icardi doesn't take away their minutes.

We need a creative B2B or winger who manages to create more chances, more quality ones. As well as scores some goals. Someone more effective than Berna/Cuadrado/Kulu. Or maybe a creative AM that steps in when Dybala is on a table treatment again.

Same was said about lukaku before his move to inter. Morata/kean are dog shit, they should not start for us. If we cant secure anyone then i sure as hell would want us to take a gamble on icardi for 6 months.

I don’t know. I agree with those who say Vlahovic is unrealistic in winter. And I haven’t paid enough attention to Scamacca to know if he is decent. So maybe there aren’t really any options. But my point is that I don’t see how an Icardi who did worse than and got benched by Kean at PSG last season and is currently performing worse in a more functional team is an improvement on what we currently have. That makes him an Anelka/Bendtner midseason transfer and what’s the point? I’d rather go for a player like Cavani on loan. Attitude, work rate, everything is better.

It seems there may be decent CMs available in January, so I’d also rather upgrade there first and foremost. And what about this Alvarez kid from River? He’s tearing it up there, could be a flash in the pan, but could also be a great versatile signing for our attack.

Both are dogshit but achieved more in recent times than Icardi. I fail to see how a limited, one-dimensional and out of form CF improves us. He's not even rolling it in Ligue 1 with super squad that PSG has.

Heres more data...

17 games...

6 complete games
10 games he played more than 70 minutes
14 games he played more than 15 minutes

In the last 3 years Morata has scored more and assist more than Icardi...

You could say that Morata has played more... ok...

Goal average from the last 3 years:

Morata 2,5
Icardi 2,8

Minutes needed to score in the last 3 years:

Icardi needs 54 minutes to score a goal
Morata needs 65 minutes to score a goal

Icardi IS NOT better that what we have... its pretty much the same...

Icardi with regular game time can hit very lethal form. However he always struck me as very reliant on service, a pure poacher not a player that can create for himself. If we will continue to create chances like we do now, then he'll likely convert better than Morata. But if we will revert to deep defensive setup then at least Morata is good with his feet and has some pace (in comparison)

Our defense is good enough for top 4, we creating enough chances, if we can only make one signing this winter it's gotta be a striker imo and an experienced one

Low risk high reward is the way i see it, we desperately need a striker

Fair enough. I don’t disagree that our strikers just aren’t cutting it and we are in desperate need of goals. If it’s a dry loan with no obligation to buy after any sort of easy objectives I’ll hold my peace. Not a fan of the wages and possibly high loan fee (not sure why PSG would agree to cover wages or loan him for free especially with Neymar out)… but like you say, as a dry loan it’s pretty much risk free.

That guy looks good. For one he doesn't lose the ball easy, has a few tricks and outmuscles opponents. If Juventus signs him now could be a Vidal-like signing and impact.

Sent from my ...
yeah that’s exactly the type of mid we should be targeting. Someone who’s on the cusp of breaking out but not quite there yet aka still affordable. Seems we’re too late on Zakaria.

Juventus will only evaluate the future of Sandro in June. Cherubini is already looking to the future and has initiated the first contacts with the entourage of Lucas Digne, but also keep an eye on Andrea Cambiaso.(calciomercato)
Bleak. Only darkness.

We have to go after a strong midfielder and a security blanket for Dybala since he is staying and we are so reliant on him there is no one to play through the middle when he goes out.

So Zakaria and Julian Alvarez please. Shouldn't take more than 25m to get both. And Alvarez can play all 4 positions across the attack

So we’re getting iCunti. Good @Bianconero81

gimme either one even though I don’t know shit about Koune
Let's hope he's more useful than the Kones we have in midfield.

Fuck Icunti. I'd rather go for Cavani as a ST option. How about Falcao? Aguero? I keed. :boh:

Icardi links…
This guy is a mental retard and his marriage is falling apart. He’s lacked focus for the last 2 years and played hardly any football. The last thing we need is his drama show. Even when he was banging in 20+ a season his character flaws made him a bad fit for this club. He still has those flaws and he’s also not even that good anymore…

Bring back Higuain over Icardi.
