At this point it'd be a good mercato if we don't get anyone
Of course because whatever Marotta will bring now will get in the way of getting someone better in the summer, not that he can get any much better considering we will focus mainly on depth.

if not exercising pereyra's buy out clause or Romulo and selling marrone as well....then im happy to get paulinho to rotate with Marchisio, pogba, vidal...and I guess Pirlo unless he retires sooner.

for 3 spots we'd have quality.

I wonder what's Cairo is doing, now he have a collection of deadwoods in his squad - Maxi, Amauri, Larrondo, Barreto plus Martinez, Quag and Kaddouri, too many attacking players i'd say
he could sell us Darmian and buy a few young players for the money

Marotta will only move for those loan with no obligation to buy during January. So he could be trying to sniff some opportunities.

For conversations sake, would anyone accept Cavani and Verratti (which was mentioned by I think Mediaset and now CdS I guess) for Pogba?

Probably, but if there was some money in the deal, absolutely.

Mostly cause I think that it'd still be unffair, maybe im exagerating, but if we value Verratti at 30-40 and Cavani at 50-60, then at least we would need 20M for them to get to Pogba's price :pumpkin:

    I'd want cash as well.

    I see it this way...

    Pogba's Resume
    • Tipped By Zidane for Ballon D'or in the future
    • On Shortlist for This Year's Ballon D'Or
    • Golden Boy Award
    • Best Young Player at World Cup
    • Raiola called him the most expensive player in the world

That's worth Bale at minimum, which is 100 million EUR. Realistically, given Pogba's age and ceiling (and factoring inflation from when Bale was purchased), he should go for 120-130 million EUR inclusive of an embedded transfer premium (when you want to acquire something, the seller has leverage, so you have to overpay).

Furthermore, the pieces included (Verratti, Cavani) will not include this premium. Therefore:
    Cavani:
    • He hasn't performed as well as when he was purchased.
    • He is being provided by the buyer so there is no premium included in his valuation.
    • Therefore, he is worth 35 million EUR.

    Verratti
    • He is a great young player
    • He has no transfer premium in his valuation since he is provided by the buyer
    • Therefore, he is worth ~35 million EUR

Meaning = ~125 million EUR - 70 million EUR = ~55 million EUR in cash to be provided in addition to the players included.

That would be what I'd ask. Obviously, the ask and the settled price may differ, but it should be in that realm.
