Well you all should know by now that in January there is tremendous price inflation, because it's the time of forced moves or panic buys for under-performing clubs with a lot of money. If you were expecting us to spend big in this window you were always going to be disappointed, either because we just won't (as we haven't in the past and won't in the future), or because, exceptionally, we will spend and end up overpaying.

I don't think allegri want's a replacement Pirlo, history would say that he wants aggressive work horses in midfield such as he did at milan
Verrati is just that but he has skill to create plays and knows how to dribble. Above all, he is young and full of energy.
He is kind of a rought tackler... but dont mind. He runs and runs and thats what we need. Athletes who are technically gifted and can recover balls. We have 2 in cheesio and Vidal...Verati would be our third.

And yes, i know he is not looking to replace him... but we should.

hmm whenever I've watched verrati he's prone to making silly challenges and getting himself booked for it, still surprising how underused he is for the national side though

I will tell you that I don't like this philosophy to keep applying band-aids just to win the Scudetto. I think that's our biggest flaw right now. There has to be a better way to transition to a more modern team to compete in the CL while still winning the Scudetto.

To me it's clear that our main objective is to win Italy for an eternity and hope to find low risk, cheap young players that grow into stars (Berardi, Rugani, Leali, Sturaro, Coman, etc.) in the meantime. And our board will favour domestic players like Pereyra who have small wages and are more known quantities even if they don't have huge potential. They know they will fit in the team, work hard, blah blah blah.

Our board is a bit too risk averse for my liking but there are times when it works (ie. Iturbe). If we had signed Iturbe and sacrificed everything else in this mercato and the next one we'd likely be out of 1st place right now and have less money for the summer (if that's even possible). That's how I see the board's motivation. I'm sure if we told Berardi that he'd feature for us all year, he'd be in the team right now. But we won't risk 1st place in Italy to develop Berardi. We want someone else to do that for us while we keep winning Scudetti.

To be honest, I don't know how good of a strategy that is. I guess we'll find out.

Of course, the easy answer is to splash on established players. Of course I'm in favour of that as well but there are serious risks there. We could have sacrificed years of our budget for Falcao. Not sure we'd be that much better off with the way he's looking right now.
While I agree on everything you said, I am not sure if we can keep on winning the Scudetto as easily you presented it. The way we are playing recently looks like we will drop to third place by March. And Sneijder will not prevent that.

Sneijder is a waste of resources and space for us. He will bring us discontinuity in our playing style and he is done, this isn't a genius like pirlo nor a warrior like tevez. On top of that can help us in the CL.

The solution we should go for is balotelli 15 mil, cl eligibility and we get a solid talent. Juvetic for summer

    Change formation to a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1.
That's a great idea, force coach to play a formation he doesn't want to play, we should throw some bunga bunga party while we at it, and Allegri will feel like he is at Milan again.

I'm sure the board must have known Allegri was going to change the formation from a 3-5-2 to his favoured 4-3-1-2 at some point that said really the board should have realised that a trequartista should have been a priority rather than spending big chunks of our budget on 2 very expensive and underwhelming bench players
How the board could have known, when even Allegri didn't know, we only changed formation because of injuries. Also let's not forget that Allegri arrived at the last minute, with less than a month before transfer window closed, and he needed to evaluate players he had at the disposal, and also many weren't there because they had prolonged vacation because of WC.

And please stop with possible hypothetical situations

Your solution is pure shit. And so is Balotelli.

To go from CL champions and annual Bundesliga champions/runner-up and sold out stadiums to Inter?

I gotta question that motive, though.
