If the news of us signing Sneijder for the period of 1,5 years are true, then he's temporary solution by all means. With that I'd have no issues. Think of it as a long term loan, until better opportunity comes along.
:touched:

Those "opportunities" are more miss that hit tho. Moreover, how is slowmo Sneijder going to help our game? We are in desperate need of an injection of pace; not to mention, the fat Dutch fuck can't even play for us in the CL. A meaningless signing by all accounts.

They are in the EL.

It is still an option, not obligation, meaning that despite Marotta's words if Pereyra doesn't play well till the end of season (so far he's been more than a decent) we can back out.

Anyway, if he'll be our only acqusition for the summer for that role then you're fully whithin your rights to express disconent, as we can do better, should do better, but since we're asuming here I assume it won't be the case and that we're actively seeking for better players for that specific spot.

Until there are better opportunities during the summer Sneijder will do just fine and we wouldn't be paying transfer fee, or few mills tops, which makes him affordable for the time being. At 30 years of age (was surprised to see that he isn't older) he still can offer top quality football.
Shut up, troll.

Klin has become such a retard in football threads.
Why?

We have pace: Morata

What we don't have is someone to actually connect are midfield trio to the strikers because currently Vidal & Pereyra aren't doing the job well. If you don't know what a good form sneijder could bring to the team then you haven't watched him enough IMO.

And back to Vidal: He belongs in the midfield 3, not behind the strikers. If we continue using a 4312 then why would we buy a winger to play behind the strikers? Unless we plan on switching to an entirely new formation with a new player halfway through the season after the players have finally made the successful switch to a new formation already, seems a bit risky as we try to knock out Dortmund. Wouldn't make any sense to try and get them with a new formation with little time to gel...add a new player to that as well if it were Shaqiri

I poop on our last two mercatos, and I have a feeling I shall be pooping on this one too. In fact, it seems likely I'll be pooping all over Juventus mercatos for the foreseeable future. We sure are a top 10 club guyze. :tuttosport:

You named one player. Boohoo. One player that provides pace. What is the use of someone distributing and connecting if the end result is profligacy? Morata isn't that reliable, and Pereyra is a headless chicken with horrendous finishing.

I have seen enough of Sneijder, but the version you are talking about was last relevant at the WC in 2010. It has been downhill since then. Add to that the fact that he has always been inconsistent and won't do shit for us in Europe due to ineligibility, and you have a meaningless transfer, irrespective of numbers, wages, and all that shit.

Morata has proven more reliable than Llorente with half the playing time. Imagine once he starts getting settled with more playing time.

I stand firm: People, like you, thought Pirlo was also passed it. And here we are, 3 seasons later, thanking our lucky stars we got him for peanuts.

People like me are not delusional. For every Pirlo we are lucky to get on a free, there are many Andrades, Anelkas and Bendtners out there.

Regarding Morata, it is debatable. Perhaps more playing time will increase his profligacy and make us long for Llorente as a starter.

Many thanks, dear sir. I shall add these to my mix. Maybe throw in a B100 complex as well, so I can have some really stinky urine.

Perhaps this winter mercato is looking up now. I have a feeling Beppe, the great, modern-day Caesar, shall pull a signing out of his own ass. Can anyone say... Cassano?
