Anything on offensive midfielders? Wonder if we could get Mata away from United? I know there is no chance in hell of it happening but an unsettled Mata in January(more crazy big money signings for United?) for a Champions League push would be amazing.
Mata, just like Tevez, would come into a situation where he'd be a vital part of the team which is something he hasn't been in the last few years with Mourinho in Chelsea and now benched at United.

A champions league playoff run with Mata would would make our team complete. No real weaknesses, creativity on offense, strong defense, top quality midfield + winning mentality.

Tevez - Llorente
Mata
Pogba - Marchisio - Vidal

Still read the same names like Shaqiri...

If Mata's here you know Vidal won't. :scared:
I may be one of the few, but I'm ok with sacrificing Vidal to improve the team.
It would require an overpayment of cash, meaning at least 50 million euros. The proceeds would need to be directly used to add attacking options. I've said it numerous times, our midfield is VERY strong. We can afford to lose one of the players. A midfield featuring 3 of Pogba, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pereyra, and Asamoah is still among the most deep in the world.
If we add 1-2 true attacking players, it would be a net positive. Although, I don't think Mata is that player. I would not be happy if we swapped Mata for Vidal. I would be happy if we picked up a few young dynamic attackers. Reus for Vidal? I'd drive Vidal to the airport. This doesn't mean that I think Reus is more effective at his role than Vidal is, it simply has to do with the fact that our team less Vidal, plus Reus is better. Manchester United? They'd easily take Vidal. Milan? Vidal. Roma? Reus.

What look's better?

------------Tevez----Llorente-----------------
Evra--------Vidal----Pogba-------Lichtsteiner
-----------------Marchisio----------------------
-----Chiellini---Bonucci-------Barzagli--------

-----------------Tevez----Llorente------------------
-----------------------Reus--------------------------
Evra--------Marchisio-------Pogba------Lichtsteiner
-----------Chiellini---Bonucci-------Barzagli--------

Personally, I'd like to sell Llorente too. Pick up a left-footed winger, and field a 4-3-3.

I'd love me some Reus but can we afford him? Wages and all?
