Pogba would earn double that at the rich clubs so I think we have no choice but to go as high as 5m unless we want to cash in on him.

In the case of falcao joining united who are not in the CL and have made a terrible start to the season, I guess in these circumstances money talks and bullshit walks and that is our biggest problem.

Going far in the CL is more crucial than ever and with Napoli dropping out we have the opportunity to earn a lot more cash. We must go far to ensure we have more funds than this marcato. Not getting through the CL group games was really the biggest reason we didn't have more to spend.

vidal rabiot pogba
berardi morata coman

how cool would that be for a future line up.

Yep most of the lost money was recouped during the EL campaign

The biggest reason we didn't spend more is because we're apparantly unwilling to invest a lot at all at this stage. 2 Summers in a row our net spend has been exceptionally low. I just hope that it will help us spend more in the future, not that our transfer budget is on level with a lower mid-table BPL club

5M in wages could be a bargain by years 2016-2019 if the deal runs that long.

I don't see how 5M would be too high for us if he becomes a world class player.
We're basically givibg him max wages possible - which means that we have nowhere to go, nothing to offer him in a few years time. Imo we will keep him for two seasons and cash in.

It will. Anyways, we're rumored to increase his wages 5 fold, where does that leave us come next round of negotiation with Mino?
It won't. Our revenue will increase and along with that our salary expenses. Anyway 5m is a big salary and very few clubs in the world could offer significantly more, be it now or in a few years for this youngster to get lured away. If he were to leave, it would be only because of enourmous transfer fee, not the salary demands.

I'm not sure where this idea arrived from, that are starting lineup in a year or two is going to include:

Rabiot, who isn't even our player yet, and is far from a proven commodity.

Coman, who has played one game for our team, and that is pretty much his entire top flight football career so far.

Morata, who has a buyback clause in his contract, and though I like him, is hardly proven.

Berardi, who has one good season at a basement dwelling club, and isn't even entirely owned by us.

Yep. But hey, modern Football in a nutshell.

And it's the same people who would say Neymar was overrated when he in fact had given his team actual relevant trophies, like the biggest in that continent that is the Libertadores. He didn't just had a good string of matches, he was the dominant force in his team.

Now, that's when you go "ok, that's a proven youngster". Coman, played 1 match so far. Morata hasn't even played yet. Berardi is doing ok for some mid table team and Rabiot, a shot in the dark as i doubt he's a constant starter in PSG and that anyone here watches him all the time.

Rabiot might be the most proven of them as he managed to play 25 matches for PSG last year, though I'm not sure how many of them were as a sub. I'd suspect a majority. I just cannot get crazy excited over these players yet. In my mind, it would be absolutely fantastic if even one of them turns into a World Class player. The chances of all 4 prospects ending up as World Class players though. Infinitesimal.

People who said Neymar is overrated have no idea that there is actually quality football being played on another continent. It's just silly "peasant" talk.

Those are still the links from various media outlets, British ones, no more or less credible than the one I posted from GdS. We can't tell with an absolute certainty whether his wages are 4.5m or 5.5m. :boh:

Juventus for some reason doesn't disclose this info.
