Let's spend all our money on 10 more CBs and neglect our shit attack and ignore the fact we're about as creative as West Brom.
What 10 CBs? We need 1. If we get Rolando as a short term solution we'll still need one CB in the summer. We need one and that's just a fact, our defense is not good enough.

And I don't think anybody denied our lack of creativity, though. I wish we had a quality AMC at the moment.

Premier League players whose contracts expire in 2015:

Michael Carrick
Didier Drogba
Steven Gerrard
Emmanuel Adebayor
Esteban Cambiasso
John Terry
Anderson
Suso
Rio Ferdinand
Glen Johnson
Abou Diaby
Martin Demichelis
Kolo Toure
Gael Kakuta
James Milner
Mikel Arteta
Darren Fletcher
Mathieu Flamini
Ron Vlaar
Benoit Assou-Ekotto
Fabian Delph
Jon Flanagan

From this shitty list i'd be interested in Demichelis on a loan just so we don't get Rolando.

How's Suso? Wasn't he a promising talent some years back? Isn't he a winger?

Jon Flanagan a decent fullback?

:agree:

It's doubtful Barzagli will return to the level we've seen from him last few years. Chiellini has been slowly declining ever since his shot down of Torres in Euros 2008. Bonucci is unreliable. All in all. Marotta's got soem work to do.

thats why we are buying rolando LMAO
Yeah because Rolando would be coming here to dethrone Chiellini  He's obviously an emergency depth signing

You think Marquinhos would improve us, he spent last season as a PSG flop, he's all potential and his current level is nothing special whatsoever.

We REALLY do not need another CB especially if its not top quality.
Offensive issues outweigh the defensive ones.Again we're being blinded by the success in Serie A.
Our attack is probably the worst for a top 10 team.Adding washed up sneijder would make things worse.

Same goes for our defensive department.

Our defense is not as good as people describe it to be.

Yep. We're bad in both departments. And our mid is only good if Pogba stays and Vidal finds his form. Pirlo as we know well is a hit or miss and Marchisio is a good hard working player but far from special.

The problem is our way of fixing these things will be the same as always, we'll go cheap in price and in quality.

But that's kinda the point. Our defence is far from perfect, but so are all our other departments. Hence, there is no sense in saying that we desperately need to focus on our defense, not more than we need to focus on the other parts of the squad.

The difference being is that majority fails to realize that we DO have defensive problems, yet only focus on attack, like it's the only thing that matters.

Having Pogba, Vidal, Marchisio (when plays), Pereyra, Tevez and Llorente/Morata is good enough to provide goals. Our midfield is really strong, Tevez is a beast and Llorente/Morata is really decent at least.

However, when you look at defense, individually they are all quite bad apart from Barzagli who we don't have and who might play a lot worse when he comes back.

All we can do is wait for bargains. Or maybe with ADIDAS money plus whatever we get from CL this season we might be able to take some financial risks next year. Knowing Marotta though...
I highly doubt we'll feel any difference with sponsor money and I wouldn't rely on our CL success to provide extra cash :D

We'll have a decent sum to spend in the summer. However... on the other hand we won't have much. If (or when) we pay for Pereyra, Rugani and possibly Berardi I doubt we'll have a lot to spend without sales tbh.

Are we really buying Pereyra?
