With some luck and good form we are imo able to challenge every team in the world, so I dont see a point in giving up this years cl campaing
First of all. I wasn't serious. Secondly we need to be really lucky to match teams liek Bayern, Chelsea, Real and Barca.

You are right, that's why I said not many of them will make it. However we can sell players like Zaza and Manolo to some clubs in Russia or England who have money but can't attract better players because they have no chance to enter the CL or because they're located in Russia. What's more, we can trade them with smaller Italian clubs for their more talented players plus smaller amounts of cash. If we have to sell our assets, surely we won't do that for peanuts so we'll have even more cash to spend. We managed to recover after loss of players due to calciopoli and their age (Neddy, DP) so I am not worried by the current situation.

Yeah we managed to recover Calciopolli but that were some really hard years to live from 2007-2010.I hope that won't happen ever.If for nothing else just about that humiliation that we suffered all that years our players must give 110% every single match against them.Even a friendlies and we must fuck them really hard every single time,at home,Milan or at all other places..

I dont see Shaqiri coming in January it makes no sense for the club to sign him just for Serie A. I dont believe the reports for one bit but i hope something does materialise over the Summer as i think he is definitely a player who can improve us.

He already has that winning mentality drilled into him as well since he is playing for Bayern he would be a very good signing for us imo.

With another summer signing, we are all set for the next CL. Let's exit this one as early as possible and focus on Serie A.
It doesn't matter if we go for him now or next Summer. We were interested in him and it seems we still are. If we get him now he could help us in Serie A to give us some breath before CL matches (Roma without Gervinho and Keita during AFCON :D we could gain some decent advantage). If he comes next Summer he still will be the player of same importance for us since we won't go for anyone 'better'.

It makes no sense to skip on a signing just 'cause he can't play in CL. Shaqiri isn't a short term solution. Signing Shaqiri would be for the future, therefore it makes perfect sense to sign him now. When opportunity arises, you strike.. Otherwise he'll liekly end up in another club since he wants to play and that's now.

Exactly

what people are suggesting is that we shouldn't sign a player who has like 10 years in him just cause he can't play our next 2-7 European games lol. I can't wrap my head around that. Football doesn't cease to exist after this season right?

so another one of our transfer targets that Roma wants to steal...

So with no Lavezzi and no Cavani in Marrakesh with the rest of the Paris squad it seems liekly they are on their way out.

Cavani to Arsenal? (a new coach and good holding midfielder and they would become real threat)

And Lavezzi to what ever $#@!ty club that wanna pay for his expensive partying ass.

Cavani btw :tuttosport:
so what youre saying is they wont become a threat

playing for bayern = winning mentality? is that what youre trying to say?

agree. i really wanted someone who could help us in CL but since the players that are good enough arent available (Firmino, Mata) then i see no point in chasing mediocre players instead of Shaqiri. why get a guy who is not good enough only because he can play CL when he wont improve us at all.

improvement in serie a/no improvement in CL (Shaqiri) > no improvement in serie a/no improvement i CL (other not cup tied garbage)

Sorry Messi I know you're eager to move club and wish to join us, but it's January so we can't use you for the next few CL games even though you could play in the next 60, so we're gonna go ahead and get Borriello instead. Thanks.
