Well yeah. :D

But seriously. I've watched Owen play more times the last two seasons than I've seen Juve play, and he doesn't impress me at all. He is a good player in the EPL, I'll give you that, and his scoring exploits are not top notch, but just behind the likes of Henry, RVN, and Shearer. And not to mention the quality defending of the EPL  which looks like a circus in some circumstances, I think Owen would find it rather difficult to make it in Serie A. Yeah Owen can score some nice goals, after many chances. But in Serie A he's not gonna have as many chances, thats for sure. You must put your chances away in Italy, because you don't get that many. Owen would not succeed in Italy. He's just too inconsistent and once the slump comes, you know Owen will be in trouble.

Never said Owen was shite. Only overrated. Still stand by that. Saw him play in the Euro and last season. Wasnt impressed at all. I get your defense for Owen, which is valid when you say he's far from shite. But im sorry, he's not world class. And i still stand by him not being good enough to warrant a place in Madrid or Juve's starting line ups.
never said he was :)

matter of opinion that one i guess

Miccoli is what 23? I wouldnt be worried at all. He's got some way to go. Owen is about a couple of years older? And he seems to have been around forever....but hes got nothing to show for it...things could change ... but if they dont, during his time at Madrid, then i guess...he'll fade quickly from people's minds. Not to mention, the media.
Someone said they are the same age, i think they are or perhaps 1 year difference. So thats nothing.

Owen has nothing to show for it? :) He won european player of the year, and has a great goalscoring record.

Yes, Dp doesnt have the workrate. But he does have skill to pull it off in the premiership. I feel its well suited to his game. The workrate demands a lot more in Italy than in England comparitively. So i think his game would hold...
I wouldnt completely agree there. Sure Italy is defensively a better league, but workrate isnt any different. English game is faster and lasts 90minutes, unlike in Italy were the games usually end on 75minutes :D Anyways this isnt a discussion about each league so lets leave it there.

Although I must say, should Owen be a Juve player right now. Just how long would he be sitting on the bench before every single person in here would be calling for him to come on. ;)

And Andy, why speculate, he could be another Ian Rush but then again he couldnt. You'll never know now :D

Well yeah. But I have a better chance of becoming the next David Beckham than Owen does of that. :D
