After Del Piero, no man on the face of the world is more worthy of the captaincy armband than Gigi Buffon.

I can't see Chiellini or Marchisio captaining the team with Buffon on the pitch, it's not right.

Gigi. He knows a lot more about big matches than the other two and has all the qualities. I still remember the game earlier in the season when he was suspended and he came down to the touchline to offer support and help the team.

"Del Piero is the charismatic captain of Juventus but for the future I'm thinking of Marchisio"

It's talk like that that annoys long serving players.

Has anyone yet argued that Delpie should wear the armband after he retires and after his death?
I think he should still play, after his retirement and death, so, ipso facto, is the captain.

Chiellini, well over Buffon. I like how chiellini deals with the press, how he leads the defence and the team. Buffon has simply been non existent, old and well matter of time before we start talking about whose going to replace buffon as gk nevermind captain! A long term solution for me has to be chiellini or marchisio. But, id go for the former down to his leadership qualities and experience.
If I didn't know better, I would ignore this as a lame joke. But, it is you afterall.
