Obviously, I like Marchisio a lot, there's no doubt, but does he ever say a word on the pitch? Chiellini is calm, yet fearsome and has shown to be one that leads by example with his performances in our darkest times. Maybe, Marchisio will grow a lot as a leader before the time comes, but I don't see how Chiellini could be overlooked as he would have been here longer and has been given the captaincy a few times already anyway.

As for Gigi, cheering from the stands, his interviews, his goal celebrations, his sacrifice of staying here, his sideline urging on :touched: What a man.

As for Chiellini being too hot headed, rash, etc., that was a thing of the past.

Bold move by Delneri.

Presently...the obvious choice is Buffon. After him, there is only Chiellini who has leadership talent, but he will need to mature first, in the mind.

Marchisio is far too quiet...

Buffon as king...
And Giorgio as vice capitano...
Buffon is not the obvious choice. When DP leaves, Buffon is ready to leave as well. It's between Marchisio and Chiellini and Marchisio will be the face of this Juventus very soon now. He will be our captain.

Chiellini is already the face of Juve.

Chiellini is a lot more assertive and if needed, can put friend or foe into his needed place. He demands respect naturally. Marchisio will learn from him.

Chiellini, well over Buffon. I like how chiellini deals with the press, how he leads the defence and the team. Buffon has simply been non existent, old and well matter of time before we start talking about whose going to replace buffon as gk nevermind captain! A long term solution for me has to be chiellini or marchisio. But, id go for the former down to his leadership qualities and experience.

buffon is always speaking of how all the players should always give 110%, he demands excellence, for now him.

but as martin said no one will ever be the captain in my heart after alex, it will always be him.

why is this even a poll?
Everything started from Del Neris' statement that Marchisio is gonna be a central figure in his team.
Than some speculations appear that Marchisio gonna be new captain.
The whole story started at Del Piero thread and we have decided to make a poll about that.
