Well, Camo isn't fast, nor does he shoot well, and his crosses are good, but not excellent, so he's not great. VDM on the other hand is superfast, has a good shot, crosses like a champ, and is probably in the top three right wingers int he world right now. I can only think of one that you could possibly consider better at the moment.

As for a comparison between FDB and Zamby, I think it's fair. I mean they each repressent the most viable attacking optin out of their respective back-lines. FDB gets a significant number of assists from his passing and Zamby gets assists from his runs. The methods differ, but the results are similar. The point is that Zamby's offensive contributions are balanced by FDB's.

I guess we'll just have to wait for the Euro 2004 and see :)

Holland are always favourites, but IMO they wont win anything this time either.

If Holland continues to play like they played today, then they will win it for sure. But, this throws up something interesting. By winning in such sonvincing fashion, they have thrown cold water on the idea of sacking Advocaat even though they're going to Prtugal. I still think that they should considering his incompetence, but they will surely not, especially with the current score-line.
Good point. It looked almost certain that Dick's head :p would be on the chopping board, no matter if they qualified or not. I think Holland needed a scoreline like this, and nothing less... for Advocaat to keep his job.

yea if you live 100km of holland you dont like holland any more
they think they are the best and always the upcomming euro or worldcup and they always make fun off the rivals ALWAYS
and in euro2000 they played 1good math againts yugo and everybody gowing crazy ppfff
And you don't make fun of the rivals? You don't celebrate good wins? You don't get on a high when your team is perofrming well?

Sure, we laugh at our rivals, but so does every human being. And you too, at least that's the impression I get from reading your posts. I mean, hoerenzoon? And yet you point the finger at US?

I'll give you an example. Today, in De Standaard, it says (and I literally quote): "Oranje gaat toch naar Euro 2004 in Portugal en het legioen zal er ongetwijfeld weer een favoriet voor de Europese titel in zien..". It is SO TYPICALLY Belgian to write a line like that and insinuate that the Dutch are immediately arrogant again, thinking that they'll easily win Euro2004.

No let me tell you that that is absolutely NOT the case. Sure, everyone is thrilled about the massive victory and the fact that we get to go to Portugal but nobody who knows anything about football honestly believes that we'll "zomaar gaan winnen".

If you don't understand our culture, that's fine but don't go around calling us all sorts of things that we're not please.

like when they played againts the czechs in the 90min a penalty FOR NOTHING then they won againts france 2-3 but with FRANCE 2 because france already where in the 1/8finals but if they played againts a full france and not have that penalty ther was no oranje in the second round
Nobody here was impressed by those two matches mate, really. If you got the wrong impression through the biased Belgian media than that's not any Dutchman's fault.

We did get arrogant and tacky after the 6-1 defeat of Yugoslavia, I admit that immediatly. But then again, who wouldn't have?

Moral of the story RE: Holland Vs. Italy.

He who controls the tempo of the match will win.

If it's a run n' gun style, then Holland will out-pace them off the pitch.

If it's a defensive struggle with the occasional counterattack, Italy will win, just through the sheer strength of their defense alone.

Totti is the only true creative midfielder that Italy has, while Holland has numerous players at that position.

Keep Totti at bay, and you can beat Italy. If you give him space and let him create, he's a nightmare, because he may be the best passer in the world.

There. How's that?

your being saracstic right cuz if not then i say Latvia win they must win:groan:
not in my worst hightmares... :scared:

though it is possible.
gruop stage: two 0-0 draws and ugly undeserved 1-0 victory. they progress.
quarters. latvians defend their goal like it was made put of gold and win in penalty shootout. same scenario in semis.
final: once again, ugly undeserved 1-0 victory against french, who in that game struglle like it was 2002.
there you go.
