Ok another clue, let me think now. His creations have became somewhat symbol of that European country, quite legendary stuff. And at the time his creations were considered somewhat futuristic, ahead of its time, in the whole world.

And while his creations have become somewhat symbolic in THAT country, and when we talk about these things, we mention/picture THAT country.
The author of these creations was actually born in another European country, though he moved to THAT country and also died there.

Ok lets make things easier. He is Italian but worked in France, and like i mentioned before, its quite ironic how Italian has created something what has become so symbolic about France.

You also want time, so there you go, peak in the 1950s.

I think i have given enough clues to come up with something now. If i go too specific it will be all too easy and no fun to discover. So ill keep my mouth shut now.
