That would be Stacey Atta. But no...

Here's another hint. A fictionalized sci-fi movie about her was released in the theaters as a double feature ... along with a movie considered by many to be the worst movie of all time.

OK. Said suicide victim not only made many references to her in his artistic works, but he even named his only daughter after her. Yet she died when he was three.

Have you mistyped some of these?
Nope. She is the one in the photo. He is the suicide victim that was kind of obsessed with her. In fact, he named his only daughter after her -- eventhough this woman died when he was three years old.

Another hint about her: she was declared a paranoid schizophrenic and went through a number of controversial (and primitive) procedures to "correct" it.

Interesting, but close. The artist who was the famous suicide was Kurt Cobain.

The woman above -- an actress -- was the sci-fi title subject of a movie released opposite Ed Wood's infamous Plan 9 from Outer Space -- a title which also became the name of a Nirvana song.

And yes, Kurt Cobain's daughter is named after her.

Kurt Cobain of Nirvana was a big fan of the band, covering three of their songs. Molly's Lips and Son Of A Gun were included on their album, Incesticide. Nirvana also covered The Vaselines song Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam on their album, MTV Unplugged in New York.

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, named his daughter, Frances Bean, after McKee.
