from all the above mentioned i think that we all love Alex the most, as a faithful and a true leader.

but is he the best #10?
as a matter of fact i don't know if he ever played a 10 role.
but Platini was something different "a true inspiriration"

plz don't get me wrong DP is my idol but what we're talking about here is the best player in a certain way,and i find Platini the best in this topic.

i'm sure that someone better will arrive sooner or later

The topic and question is who's the best number 10 to wear Juve Jersey. I was too young to follow Platini, however, that doesn't mean they both can't be compared. Sure, Platini is one of the best football produced, so is Ale.

But to answer the question who was the best to wear Juve's jersey, then It's def going to be Del Piero to me. I've watched and read alot about Platini, but then again, I doubt he gave half what Dp is gave and still.

I'm going to name few things Alex passed through, showed us(Fans) what an example he is for all of us...and I doubt alot of players would manage to pass the difficult periods he passed through.

    -Injuries
    -Doping case story
    -Coaches
-Replacing someone like Baggio at such a young age
-Being Juve's top scorer of all time, though If we count his Injuries, and his position on the field, then It's not really his job to score.
-Winning World-Cup and then playing in Serie B
-Being most loved player to Juventus according to polls and stats
-His love for this team is just speechless to me.

I'm sure there are still hunderds of reasons that pushed these people to vote for him.

I think I know who's the real and true inspiriration of this team.

Del Piero's the best so far, IMO. I liked Roby Baggio when he was with Juve, but he didn't stay with us as long:sad: & he wanted to leave.:broken: DP stayed after 12/13 years, even when we got demoted. I only vaguely remember Platini: I remember seeing clips of him, but I felt that it was more commentators' :)pumpkin:s ) hype than him being special. Therefore, he didn't create as good an impression on me as DP. I don't really remember the others, but as Boniperti scored 180+ goals for Juve, he must have served Juve well over a fairly lengthy period of time, so he would be second IMO.

I've been around on these boards for a few years now (granted, with the occasional break of several months) and there hasn't been a poll yet in history that included Del Piero without him winning it.

Honestly, it makes more sense to create a poll asking whether people prefer living or dying. Barring the odd 'weirdo', everyone will vote living.
I see your point. Yet it's as obvious Del Piero's the greatest player we've ever had at Juventus as living is a better option than dying. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, could be, for I'm very fond of his type of play, but in terms of skill as a player and maturity and class as a man I do really believe they don't come better than Ale.

    no hard feelings lad.
that's why i said don't get me wrong.
we surely love him and admire him and consider him the best.(as a person and a player)

but what i'm trying to say is, if we remove our emotions aside(+stats) and compared the 2 technically. i think that Platini is a much more all-in-all player.
    this is only my opinion.
anyways as some of the guys previously said we're comparing 3 ballons d'ors to nothing.
and of course i admire DP more than Platini, no doubt about that.
