Right now I'm half-way through my third season. I'm first in Serie A, and I have dates with Lazio and Besiktas in the Coppa Italia semi-final and the CL second round respectively.

My defence hasn't been that good so I'm going to switch to a back four next season.

Gasbarroni and Reyes have been brilliant. The former can't stop making defenders look stupid, while the latter has the most assists in the league. Blasi and De Rossi are also doing very well.

Upfront I have Onwuachi and Del Piero. Surprisingly DP is still going very strong as he has 25 goals in 28 games so far, including three hat-tricks. Their subs are Miccoli and Tevez, while Cerci is on loan with Parma. I think I'll sell DP next season...

My team:

GK - Buffon, Reina
DC - Bonera, Ferrari
DC - Ujfalusi, Milito
DC - Mexes, Legrottaglie
DM - Blasi, Brighi
DM - De Rossi, Tacchinardi
MR - Gasbarroni, Paro (I'll try to get Toledo or Toro next season)
ML - Reyes, Espinal
AM - Kapo, Diego
FC - Onwuachi, Miccoli
FC - Del Piero, Tevez

Btw, i'm thinking to sell Adriano and get Tevez.

I have two target men upfront, Pazzini and Adriano. I need a good and faster striker, kinda henry style, and tevez seems to be the best option.

Well out of the two decisions between Balitsch and Kompany, I instead went for Demichelis. He cost £19m which is not bother really. I was prepared to spend big for quality. Now I feel I have a complete squad for next season:

--------------------Buffon---------------
---Demichelis---Cassani---Legro---
-------------------Appiah----------------
---Gasbarroni----Blasi------Zamb----
------------------Nedved----------------
--------Miccoli--------Saimon-----------

Only worries are Nedved's age (I have able back-up though, very able back-up indeed, it's just Nedved retains his quality for years), Miccoli's scoring problems (thankfully I have Jurado on form and Saimon is great anyway). Stefan Moore is also looking able to worry defences.

My transfers amount to:
OUT
Trez -> Arsenal (£30m)
DP -> Arsenal (£9m)
Brighi -> Fiorentina I think (£5m)
Camo -> Barcelona (£9m)

IN
Fabao (RB) <- Americano FC (RJ) (£2.5m)
Cassani (CB) <- Porto (£10m)
Demichelis (CB/RB) <- Bayern (£19m)
Saimon (SC) <- Porto (£11.5m)
De Sanctis (GK) <- Udinese (£3.5m)

Also other less well known incomers:
Stefan Moore for £2.5m, Jurado for £2.5m, Pozzi for £500k, Edu (free), da Silva Santos (free-youth contract).

I have some youngsters joining, Brian Robson, striker, from Chelsea age 16 for £1.6m, lots of young goalkeepers (now to go on loan becase I have de Sanctis as able backup), Jaime de la Pena who is a right winger, age 16, Spanish who did not have a club. Guy Guichard and Eric Gomez, too hot prospect French defenders (French clubs always make the best ones if you ask me). Couto who is a young Portuguese DM.
Also Ferronetti as backup in the defence, for £2.1m.

I think this has my team sorted for the future now. I still have £20m but will keep it for the winter window, or just leave it alone to help the club.

Financially, my main saleable assets are gone. I won't sell Nedved. DP is on a downward slide, Trez is probably at his peak of value. Buffon, and Zambrotta are the only ones left who can help me out of a financial pickle, but I don't see it happening.

I don't have a world class out-and-out striker, this may be a worry because I have lots of younsters who are unproven. I could use my £20m in january to help me out this if it becomes a problem. The board will want results and if I finish outside the top two (or fail to win) then I am gone, so the pressure is on as I'm completely unproven in European football, spectacularly failing to get Porto anywhere in a half season and then legging it to Juve.

Legro is better in the air than Zamb, and since the 3 defenders are playing mostly like centre backs I think it's better to leave it like that. I have Gasbarroni and Zamb in the DM R/L positions anyway, although I have Gasb pushing forward more. So Zamb is kind of playing as a mix between left back and left midfield.
The other option is shifting Legro to the central position, but he'll never be able to displace Cassani, and perhaps even Fabao could give him a run for his money there.

Yeah, but I played like that last season and it was not too successful. I always want to progress to a 3 man defence, and then switch back if absolutely necessary.

good luck. you should see what i am going through.

i finally managed to have a good team and to drop my wages from 28K to 20K but the next year the board decides to put my limit on 12K (arent they nice) but after signing some and droping some (and selling what i though was my best player) i managed to go from 20K to 11K and have (i think) a better team than last year.

I've just finsihed my second season, won the European SuperCup, Italian SuperCup, Toyota Intercontinental Cup, Coppa Italia and Serie A.

I was kicked out of the CL in the 1/4 finals. I played the first game 3-3 away against Manyoo, and in the second game it was 1-0 to them in the 50th minute. I just subbed in another striker to play 3-4-3, when Lucio got a red card. I lost 4-0 :frown:

For next season I've sold Tudor to Chelski for 10 mil €, and I'll try to sell Zambi too. Coming in are Hofland (34 mil €) and Emerton (I havent agreed a fee yet).

Don Bes,

Wages are some of the toughest things to manage. Maybe not with Juve, but with the smaller clubs they are. That's why I think there's no point in people just playing CM with their favourite big team. You miss a huge amount of the strategy that is involved in managing smaller clubs; that is not being able to offer big wages because of the team's financial situation, having a really low wage budget which restricts your squad size and signings, and not being able to sign whoever you want because the vast majority will reject you outright :down: Also you can't sign a team full of greats, you have to put up with mediocre players who are below even the standards of your small team, and make them play well. That's why i'm a big fan of the "career" method, and I don't just jump in and manage Juve from the start. It is fun at first though :)

yeah. gasbarroni is class. ;)

btw, if you want to sign a RM, try toledo. and make a lot offers for him. if they demand more money for him, you reject. then they'll offer you toledo themselves for less money.

when i bought toledo, perugia wanted about 19 mil for him. then after about a month or two of negotiations they offered me toledo for 5 mil :)

zlatan, is tevez worth giving 50mil€ for him and selling adriano?

as i said, i need a faster striker than pazzini and adriano. and after pazzini is younger and same level as adriano, he can be better so i decided to keep him and sell adriano.

He hasnt been good for me so far, he was pretty bad in his first season. But I'm willing to wait for him, I think he'll be ok. I'm playing Zlatan as a partner to a powerful striker (Adriano or Pazzini), and he's OK, scored 20 goals for me in the last season.
