Hleb is indeed a sick player. He would be a perfect replacement for Nedved, and even Hleb would add more creativity to the squad. I think he will become a better player than Nedved one day.

What do you mean? Nedved is a winger who can basically play anywhere. Would Rosicky fit on the left wing?

Nedved is a winger, yet he hasn't played, or hardly, as such since leaving Lazio. I'm sure there would be no problem accomodating Rosicky, especially as he's already tasted the wing before. I have this video from an international encounter with Bulgaria (demolition would be more appropriate, 5-0 it was) during which he infiltrates from the left before blasting a missile right under the woodwork... And if purchasing genuine wingers is the way to go, why Hleb and not Vicente?

Genuine as in genuine wingers was meant to be the focal term and Vicente merely an example!

If we bought Rosicky I would hate for him to be wasted on the wing. If we had Tomas I would convert him into a deep lying playmaker a la Pirlo, or slide him into the spot behind the strikers like Nedved under Lippi. Rosicky is not really the type of player to blow past defenders on the wing like Vicente, so he would be more suited for the center of the pitch IMO.

I agree....Rosicky will fet more in a Pirlo type of position....

Yes, Hleb is even dubbed the next Laudrup.

Most importantly though, Hleb wouldn't be THAT expensive as he isn't that well known.. yet.

I've seen him alot taking this Roll, one of them was against Galatasaray in CL last year...

Also many times in Coppa....and he did quite nice job!

Enzo Maresca of course!!

The guy plays with his heart on his sleeves - so does Pavel.

Enzo covers (almost) the whole pitch - same as Pavel.

Enzo can protect the ball and make killer passes - just like Pavel.

In my opinion, the only reason that Enzo was let go was because we already have Pavel.

Some may feel Enzo is not a "proper" attacking midfielder, but I feel that would not be a problem as we have forwards such as Mutu or DP - even Cassano if we are indeed buying him - who can drift back a bit and "help out" the creative department if really needed.

So, when the day comes for Pavel to join the Juve legends on the stands and stop sweating blood on the pitch for us, Enzo would be his natural heir.

I think Enzo is a Pirlo type player. He doesn't cover a ¼ of what Pavel does on the pitch. Hleb does.

But that's just my opinion.

IMO, Maresca is more like Emerson, in terms of responsabilities/position on the pitch, than Blasi.

Well if Maresca would take the place of Blasi, Emerson would have to become the holding midfielder, a job that he excels at anyway.
