i think teams can.
its a draw.so any teams can meet.i dont think that the 'no teams from the same country' can meet each other rule is active any more.
liverpool and chelsea were in the same GROUP,so i think two teams from the same country can meet in the 2nd round.i could be wrong though.
Liverpool entered the competition as a "Wild Card" entry which means that they are not part of the 4 teams alloted to english league teams which is the standard condition. Because of this, they did not have any "country protection" as it is called during the draw for the group stage.
Although I think that come this 2nd round (knockout stage), they will regain that priviledge and the "country protection" remains. The only time it will not be active is during the quarter-final stages onwards.
exactly. no i was thinking if i were another team. look at the last 8 of pools games. today will tell if theyre for real. but i probably wouldnt want to play Lyon or Barca.
Milan won't be able to beat us again. Now we have Buffon back and Capello will get the players ready for anything.
Besides, Milan isn't in good form lately.
As I said before, I don't want to avoid meeting teams. Quite the opposite actually, I want to see Juventus versus the best of the best. I want to see how our team measures against them and I want to taunt my friends that cheer for Manchester, Arsenal, Barca, Real & Lyon etcetra when we beat them.
no milan or inter, i'd be happy to have anyone else becuase if we deserve the title we should beat anyone even milan or inter but if just don't want to loose any of the italian teams that early
