-Camoranesi- Sissoko/Poulsen- Marchisio
------------XXXXXX --------XXXXX
--------------------Amauri

Play the best performing two of DP, Giovinco and Diego* in the XXXX, put DP more upfront when he plays. Keep the three of them fresh and place less of a burden on Diego to carry this team upon his arrival.

*Considering we actually get him.
i ment to choose this formation

this is what i would play.

I like that:tup: . It would also allow a lot of rotation since any of our forwards beside Trez can play behind the striker, but on the other side we need a very strong defence...

I'm not sure I get the point of this poll, as the formation really depends on the players you're fielding -- which isn't fixed for any match, let alone do we know what the summer transfer window might bring. Asking for the tactic before the people involved are set seems like the cart leading the horse.

That's correct.

In reality the poll should be "Which tactic would you never use?"

And of course the straight 4-4-2 would be my answer.

I took in consideration the fact that a player like Diego or Silva would join us and we dropped the 4-4-2 because we can't get a Ribéry...

Even so, I would like to think that we could change tactics depending on the personnel available -- e.g., Giovinco versus Nedved, for example. Independent of Diego or Silva.

I used to think that 4-3-1-2 was the way to go. But now i feel 4-2-3-1 is better. We can keep the midfield packed. Attacking won't be too predictable, and both attacks thru the middle and the wings is possible. we can change to a 4-4-1-1 to sit back on a lead, move a mid fielder back into a 4-1-4-1 to go ultra-defensive, or put on a striker in place of the AMC and change to an attacking 4-4-2, just like old times. This will of course mean a lot of adapting and shit loads of practice.

then i think about ranieri, and the dream is shattered!
