So Mutu is not known for his quick dribbling, good pace, incisive passing, and very good finishing? Hmm, I wonder why Chelsea spent so much on a player who cannot dribble, cross, or shoot...
Unless you have seen many Juventus training sessions this past winter, I don't know how you can say Mutu isn't capable of the characteristics you listed. Before Mutu met up with Mourinho he was able to do all those things very nicely, and he was just having trouble adjusting to the English game.....or perhaps doing coke that made him struggle. I'm not sure of the time frame or if coke was a factor in the first season. However I do know that Mutu was a top player before he met up with Mourinho and started doing coke, and IMO those great qualities that he posessed will come back over time. There is no question Mutu has the natural talent because we witnessed it ourselves. The question will be whether Mutu has cleared his head from the use of drugs and whether or not Mutu is fit enough to play. If he is fit, the skills will come back.
Nonda is a young player? Last time I checked Nonda was 2 years older than Mutu and plagued with persistant injuries..
Well, your probably right in this respect. However you never know with Moggi, and if Mutu impresses Capello during training sessions we might just keep him. I mean if Mutu regains a lot of form why should we give him up?
I don't know about that. Yes, both players tend to favor drifting out to the left flank, however both could be used up top and exchange positions frequently. Mutu is more of an incisive player than Zlatan and is a better passer, so I think they could coexist. Perhaps Mutu could be used as a left winger as well, not sure.
If Mutu regains form, why not put him in the first team? We just have to wait and see.
Not us, that's for sure. And I don't see any problems Mutu has created in his first few months at Juventus. You sound like you're expecting Mutu to be passing around coke at halftime or something..."yo Lilian, take some of this man, it's good stuff." Come on that's nonsense Rab.
Yes, and Mutu has been one of my favorite players over the past five years. I loved him when he was at Verona and then lighting Serie A on fire at Parma. I hope he does prove you wrong, and I think he has a good chance of doing so.
