This is gonna be quite a long read but please read-up as I have been pondering on this and have only found the perfect thread to post it.

I think the main question here is that will Juventus keep him or let him go?
I think we should keep him. Firstly, Mutu is a fast player, something we have never had in attack since Di Vaio's departure for Valencia. Just look at the number of goals Di Vaio scored coming off from the bench. Up to now, I still rue his departure.
Mutu would suit and complement the Juventus system very well as we love to control the tempo of the game and admittedly, we play very slow and patient football. Someone like Mutu could be our catalyst or so called "X-factor" and be the give the decisive touch of burst of speed that could unlock defenses.
Our style of play is very direct and it is for this reason why we have had difficulty scoring goals in matches that matter. Just look at the elimination at the hands of Liverpool, our attack was read like a novel by Rafa Benitez, add to the fact that Hyppia played a flawless game. If we had someone with Mutu's speed, we could have easily used it as we were very strong in imposing ourselves, although we did not have that preadator in the box to put away the chances or possession we built up. To sum it all up, the Liverpool game was all that, ALL BUILD-UP, but NO FINISHING.

Another speculation about Mutu is that he will be used to prise away Cassano from Roma, but I highly think this unlikely to happen. We all know how Juve hate Roma, and vice versa. I think we are doing this on purpose to make the Sensis sweat over the youngster's future at the capital. Of course, speculations over interest will always make it more difficult for present clubs to negotiatie contract extensions, and this is something we enjoy doing to Roma.
Here are my reasons to believe we won't be signing Cassano:
1. He is too temperamental and we all know how Juventus are adamant of professionalism with its players, just look at Del Piero's reaction to Cufre's punch. That was sheer professionalism.
2. He is too expensive. Imagine us giving away Mutu + cash, I think that would be giving Roma a very huge present, and that is something I don't think Juventus would grant Roma.

I just want to make it clear that I became a Juventus fan because of Del Piero. I still can not forget the back-heel goal he scored as a youngster who came on as a substitute against Dortmund int he CL Final years ago, of course we lost.
But next year, I would really love to see a Zlatan-Mutu parntership because their combination would be very deadly. It could be a repeat of the Adriano-Mutu partnership in Parma a couple of years ago.
Del Piero, as I have always said, never lost his touch and vision for the ball. I think that he always did well on the left side of midfield and his passing and awareness could connect well with Nedved and create attacking spaces for other stirkes. His touches are still brilliant although I have to be honest that his speed is already inexistent. And this is the reason why I would place him on an attacking midfielder on the left side as he wouldn't be as crowded as he usually is playing as a striker. He usually loses the ball once he has an opponent on both his sides. But with him on the flanks, he could utilize the byline and get a lot of one-on-one situations where he usually flourishes.
Next year though, I would lov to see a Zlatan-Mutu partnership upfron, with Del Piero, Nedved, and Camoranesi linking just behind them. Emerson could be the lone defensive mifielder just behing the divine midfield trio of the three abovementioned. Zlatan would be strong and powerful, his dribbling is also a big plus. While Adrian Mutu would provide us speed and deadliness in attack. The kid's got flair and oozing with confidence, as evidence of the fact that he lived such a grand lifestyle in London. I just hope all that will be behind him when he starts playing. I can see the Juventus system (which is professionalism) giving Adrian Mutu's ego a huge slap on the face and kicking his ass back to reality, this would make him a very very great player. If he allows Juventus to mould him into the player we want to be, he can be one of the most prolific strikers in Europe.
To sum it all up, I think we should keep Adrian Mutu but keep a good eye on him and cultivate him and mould him into an ideal professional like Del Piero.
