A bit too hard to pronounce, it's the typical scenario when you tell people what you study and they never get it because they can't repeat the name. :D

More glamorous than comp sci though? :D

More ambigous.....it took me till the 7th smester (out of 8) to really comprehend what exactly I was studying.
Coz we were just givin anything that had to do with engineering: electrical, mechanics, programming even business and basic law.

Btw Martin, never really thanked you for creating this forum, so I just wanna say thanks for makin this place, I never hung onto any forum as much as this place. Simply didn't have the time, but this place and its people(who share a love for Juve) are worth the extra effort to post in between work.

Well i knew then that it was a mixed disciplin between Electronics, Mechanics, Programming and Control Technique. But I didn't know it what direction exactly, whether Robotics or Commercial Gadgets or Industrial tools.

But Now I know its more into Automation for Industry, makin automated machines and manufacturing lines. Kinda fun :geek:

And I gues you caught me, alot of the times its instead of work :D But I wouldnt do it for any other forum  But most of these times I dont have work anyhow, kinda waiting for other things to be done...the good thing bout bein self employed.

Thats because youre going to school in America!

And most americans that attend private universities get some sort of financial aid or scholarships that help them pay as much as half the tuition

and if theyre attending public universities in their same state the cost is less than ten thousand

Its crazy to go to school in America being international
And those totally STUPID new laws that were passed (along with the Patriot Act) now significantly lowered the number of international students who'd want to come to the US to study. Hell, why would someone wait for 2 months to get his/her student visa approved, if he/she can get a similar visa to the UK in just a couple of days?

Student headcount in some schools went down by as much as 20%.

Good luck with pulling out those out-of-state tuitions from international students!

Per year right?
See, if youre American AND resident of the state of the school you wanna go to its really cheap

Also board fees are crazy. I had to pay like $7000 for a dorm room for only three months

Really? Ive always thought its kinda boring... I wanted to major in communications or marketing but my parents said that it would be better if I majored in engineering and then did a masters in something related to marketing

My first degree was Electronics Engineering and I worked for a couple of years with that, then my masters was in industrial engineering (quality within production to be more specific) and it really is a good combination with the Bachelor degree.
