Sheva: No truth in Milan talk

Andriy Shevchenko has denied reports that he wants to return to Italy following a phone call with Milan chief Silvio Berlusconi.

The Ukrainian, who left Milan for Chelsea in the summer, spoke to Berlusconi at the weekend, after which the former Italian Prime Minister suggested he might be keen on a return to the San Siro.

"There's nothing in it," Shevchenko told Corriere dello Sera. "The phrase I spoke saying I wanted to return was made out of simple courtesy."

Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said that the deal was not realistic, as they already had three non-EU players on their books.

"It is technically impossible," said Adriano Galliani. "Shevchenko is a non-European player and his spot has been taken by Ricardo Oliveira. Full stop."

"The president thinks ahead to the future and speaks about feelings but he doesn't look at acquisitions."

Yeah but they are probably only a keeper and another top striker away from being virtually untouchable in Europe. Even with the quality of midfield they have I still think Gudjohnson isn't good enough as a second choice striker for a club that good.

a top striker? ET'O is one of the best strikers in the world. when he comes back.

He would have been shadow of himself either way, since the end of last season and on WC he failed, I watched him and he didn´t impress me, I don´t think he will settle in Chelsea or any club in EPL.

Simply,his time is over.
Shows how much you know about Football.

I mean a top striker in addition to eto. One top striker isn't enough for a side that is expecting to win everything every season.

Just yesterday I heard on the radio that he's on his way to Newcastle on loan in January.

Suffice to say he's not the Sheva we've known and feared nowadays, but if one were to but take a cursory glance at the numbers his teammate Drogba's been putting up this season, it would be hard to recall the torrid first two years of his Chelsea career, which, was arguably a leaner patch than the one Sheva's having now. Anyhow he's cost too much and had too little time for the verdict to be passed just yet; as it is with many things, time will tell.

Pretty sad. From being widely regarded as the best striker in the world to the English haven, that is Newcastle, of flops.

Sheva ruined himself. He only has himself to blame.
He was doing good in milan and he was their all time greatest scorer.
I dont understand why he left??
I dont think it is due to his wife ... maybe $$$$$$
