An observation. As I deal with Americans on daily bases, way too many chats for a mere mortal, I've come to the conclusion that the stupidest questions come from women. The more stupid their question is, I can figure out the gender without looking. Can't even share that because they might fire me for thinking there is only one type of woman, or just two genders.

do Serbian office women engage you in intellectual conversation? I’m curious what the difference is

They can basically get away with murder. They face little to no consequence to anything they do, and every little achievement is amplified manyfold to patronize their little hearts, now if she is on top of that a minority say black oh boy

Oh I'm sorry if I made it sound like I mean it's just the Americans. I just used it as a prime example because of a big target group I'm dealing with.

As for your question, I do my 8 hour shift and keep the distance. I barely talk to anyone as I don't want to mix it with my private life. But generally speaking, and in all honesty, over the past 5-7 years I barely had any intellectual discussion with women. I think they are very limited, at least when it comes to majority. I see two groups 1) those that say thay only enjoy small talks and those are extremely boring with zero interests and passion in life 2) those that say how they love to talk about all pf the subjects whether that's stars, science, geopolitics, but their knowledge is extremely limited and from what I've noticed they only say that to sound smart, yet they offer close to zero in a discussion. When it comes to philosophy or literature, even cinematography, the knowledge is non existant. Same goes to sport, politics and science. Majority of them says they love travel but they don't know geography to begin with. The girl I date is above average I'd say but she studied literature so there's some expertise there. Truth be told, every time I had meaningful discussion it was with men. Majority of girls I see or deal with are there to be pretty (if we can say pretty while having tons of make up, plastic surgeries and filters) and to spend the money guys earn.

Btw Dusan, is your interaction at work with overseas clients by phone or by text online? (I assume you dont get so many americans in person in serbia itself?) Just asking because you said you can figure out gender without looking.

Lol I love that gif.

It's only chats (text via PC) with logs and control panel. So it's just raw data and no pics. Rarely I see Americans here btw. We get plenty of Chinese (less ever since Covid started, but before that it was like an invasion) Turks, Russians (Ukraninas too ever since this shit started). There are also French people and Scandinavians popping up unlike before. Actually I can only remember one American and he came directly to me to speak outside of the theatre. He was from NY and he was super friendly, I even thought it was some hidden camera prank how nice he was. He was staying here for a couple of months and loved it so he was planning to stay and open a gym with some Croat buddy of his. But man he was so talkative it's crazy

Online chats and customer service like that have to be annoying, there's no face to face or verbal communication, so people tend to showcase even worse entitled attitudes in text form like that because the communication form itself gives them hubris to hide from direct visceral reaction to bad attitude.

Americans in travels are super talkative/social as heck, generally overly nice peeps, mostly superficially but warm social habits for sure. I meet people from all over the world on the regular, and americans (generally almost allways white peeps) social habits reminds me of africans, south europeans/south americans (the type of social cultures who would invite you home to family dinner after 10 minutes convo), generally more open with random peeps. Tho sounds like you met a dude on a mission. If he is there to make a living in new place, its good practice to meet new people and network immediately.

And the chinese tourists are truly everywhere, and they are rarely ever pleasant to be around at all. And I mean them as tourists, just horrible. I worked with chinese peeps here in sweden and they like anyone else. But something about them as tourists just is so off, like its the rude country bumpkins only ones traveling (which doesnt make sense, since vacation overseas is expensive, so mostly middle to upper class chinese).

Rest of the nationalities you mentionned are geographically or culturally close to Serbia, so it makes sense, and and theres no country you wont meet a french tourist. But scandivavians/swedish in Serbia for travel is a rare thing for me to hear about. In balkans in general its becoming more popular as destination in sweden, hear plenty who go to vacation spots in Croatia, Bulgaria, Montenegro even co-worker who went to Albania this summer. But rarely ever hear Serbia. But it makes sense, all the balkan countries I mentionned have coast lines while Serbia is landlocked.

That cant be true. 0 meaningful discussions with females? What type of work you're in? You've never had a meaningful, professional discussion with a dickless person? I've literally had hundreds if not thousands.
