depends on the country i guess. when it comes to services, i live in a cheap country. i spent ~12k € on mine in 2008. we had ~200 guests and also paid local hotel rooms for ~30 guys arriving from distant cities too. i organized the whole shit, and it was a pretty good party from 4 pm to 4 am.
