Sun becoming a red giant will happen in around 5 000 000 000 years. Not really something we should be worrying in the near future imo. Climate change that is caused by human actions putting big amounts of greenhouse gases like CO2 and CH4 into the atmosphere is a more urgent worry. It affects and will keep affecting the living conditions of many people, animals and plants.

Not believing science is in my eyes more religious than believing it.

So because long term there are forced we can't control does that mean pollution and over use of resources are not issues worth addressing?

Because the sun will explode in five million years there is no reason to ensure the planet is liveable for the next few hundred?

I don't understand how "hey, maybe lets not create so much single-use plastics/lets move away from fossil fuels/overuse resources/pollute as much ect" is equal to "NO ONE CAN HAVE ANY FUN AND EVERYONE GIB ME MONIES."
