So it was womens day today.

An entire day of third wave feminists given a voice to complain about imaginary things like patriarchy and the imaginary wage gap.

Did we hear anything about oppression, circumcision, acid attacks, rape&incest in nearly every non first world western country ?

Nah. Not important. Who cares about India or Africa or the middle east or asia or south america.

That's not just a feminist thing. People just care more about shit that affects them directly than what happens to a bunch of people they will never meet

People, yes, i can agree to that.

Lets all remember Paris and Brussels but fuck those killed by Boco Haram. They are just africans. Barely people right ? Which is kinda the mindset. Disgusting

Media is what fails here. Media is what has the obligation to show all the news. Objectively.

I do. It was a scissor fest of third wave feminists about imaginary issues to hide their own failure.

Actual female issues, werent important enough.

Agreed on the first part.

But is it the media's fault? They just report what they think people will care about, which is why clickbait is so rampant now. The important stuff is just too boring for the average reader/viewer I guess.

You are just complaining for the sake of complaining. Its just one of many official days that goes by quitely, pmsing about it is just downright silly.

It was too much. We have radio in the office for the testers. 9 houres today i had to listen to that crap.
I go train nd all television stations were about that crap (deadlift platform is close to the cardio area, people were watching)
I come home and all my social feeds are about that crap.

KInda wanted to ventilate that a moment. Doesnt seem unfair ?

Denzel washington was so incredibly on point when he adressed that

"its not about good news anymore. Its about first. Just get it out first, doesnt matter if its true or whom it hurts, just first, sell it"

"Anything you practice , you'll get good at, including BS"

That man is on fire.

Extrapolate it. Media is supposed to bring the news. Instead, they became clickbait whores who bring the stuff that generates the most revenue.

If nobody cares about the rape in India or South Africa. Circumcision or acid attacks, they'll stop reporting all togheter.

And to be brutally honest, if we didnt had an acid trowing case in Belgium every few years, they wouldnt have reported this is a thing at all.

South and Central America have it as well, but they are a bit more serious about it.

I think it's annoying too. Lots of women's organizations like to act as if they're some sort of minority. They're not. They make up 50% of the world's population. As long as you pretend you need protection, you won't be taken seriously. Just imagine what would happen if we had an international man day.

Yup. Victimization is a badge of honor and all about what it can afford me and my situation. That's pretty much the logic. People who have it worse? Sure, you sympathize, but don't let them steal your thunder.

International Man's Day would be ubergay though. Other than guys like Milo Y who troll for money, I can't imagine wanting to associate with the kind of whiners that would participate in such a thing.

The problem for women is that there are men who get it and men who don't (and even some women who are against women's equality for that matter). The pockets of guy shit is terrible and often systematic in a way that guys really don't have to face. But then there's a lot of guys who are sympathetic but are being labelled as if they are conspirators in a sort of collateral damage.

International Woman's Day.

I feel sorry for those females who are more localised than that and so can't take part.
True dat. International Woman's Day is needed most by the women who cannot participate in it.
