No. They were happy with the last minute winner. I guess because Juve was always going to win the title, they didn't want Napoli to win it either and they were happy to at least beat a team they hate.

Also, the entire game was basically a celebration of the phenomenon that is Totti tbh. I have never seen an entire stadium cheer for a substitute. I have also never seen a player receive a standing ovation just for being subbed on.

It was. Also I went to Fiorentina-Juventus, because one of my best friends has been living in Firenze for a couple of years now (he's Belgian though) and he's a big Fiorentina fan. The disappointment on his face.. He really believed they were going to make it. I don't think I'll ever forget the expression.

Wait what? I thought your relationship was a dream come true?
It was until she had a dinner with her entire family and then broke up with me the next day because of "cultural differences".

Didn't want their little girl to marry a gringo. Not much I can do about that.

Excellent. And even better that you were low-profile about defriending her and someone else ratted you out. Makes her realize you're moving on and doing things without trying to get her attention.
.
Yeah, apparently she decided to see what I was up to and couldn't. Now she is passively stalking me through my friends and colleagues. Which I find amusing.

I'll probably talk to her after my vacation, which should be in late May.

Meh. Not much to talk about. She made a decision (one that in my mind is understandable at least) and now the both of you should live with it.

What a weekend! Fiorentina-Juventus was a great game to watch. And to watch it among Fiorentina fans made it even better. I don't know which moment was sweetest. Morata's goal seconds after Fiorentina's equalizer, Buffon stopping a last minute penalty or that Fiorentina header against the bar. Roma-Napoli was a poor game to watch, but I guess Nainggolan scoring a last minute winner and the knowledge that it gave us the scudetto made it sort of nice.
I find sitting with rival fans horrible.

I'm trying to live with it. For sure.

I reached out a couple times in the first few weeks and now she's going through the same motions. I guess it's more difficult when you both care for each other and the reason wasn't anything either of you could control.

It's always difficult. Also, everyone knows what you should do in these situations. It just so happens to be a difficult thing to do.

It's the annoying comments.
Maybe. I've seen a couple of Juve games between Juve fans. I've seen Bologna-Juventus and Fiorentina-Juventus between the home team fans. Neither fanbase is particularly annoying. It's mostly the generic anti-Juve stuff.

Why'd you stop being her FB friend?
Because it makes no sense pretending to be friends when you're anything but and the only 'benefit' either party is receiving from FB at this point is watching the other go on with his/her life or at least pretending to do so.

Yeah, bud. As the late, great Prince once said:
She asked me if we could be friends
And I said, oh, honey baby that's a dead end
You know and I know
That we wouldn't be satisfied

You're doing it wrong.

I've watched Juve at a few away matches away from the curva. It's weird, but it has its own merits.

It's the annoying comments.
Yeah, but when you're trolling them and they think they have something and they keep failing, that's awesome. :D
