I feel your pain, Xmas is just a different ball game for me, so much crap and drinking, I'm not used to it. I only weigh 1lb more than I did before but look and feel much worse.

A mate is trying to rope me into doing the Birmingham half marathon with him but I'm really not feeling it, I'm an awful runner and it's too much cardio for my training. Need inspiration.
One must love running to do half marathons .... I enjoy running but can't be arsed to do it for more then 40 minutes ... have done a few short ones, did a 10 km in october for charity but that's as much as I can take both phisically but especially mentally ....
On the other hand can easily ride the bike for 2/3 hours

Fuck this first day back at work bullshit. I want to punch my boss already. I'm self-employed.

I'm switching careers. I'm going to work in a bar in Bali.
I don’t know about anyone else, but coming back to work after the Christmas and New Year period is always the time when far-fetched ideas about relocating to Tahiti and becoming a freelance dolphin trainer start to percolate.

I like my job, I am happy. But I’ve already twice considered the idea of packing it all in and becoming rich off some niche but artisanal product that I would definitely be able to make despite having zero practical skills. So 2016 will be the year I make my fortune.

I’m afraid the sooner we put these flights of fancy aside, the easier it will be to settle back into the working routine.

They do that pretty much every month. Out of 6 previous wages I think I only had 2 full ones. And it's not just me but they take from all of us because for some reason it's not the shop menager that holds the responsability but all of us. :sergio: When I pay a bus-pass and food I'm probably at around 190-200e/month right now which is a disaster.
Y'all need some trade unions

..is this article thought to be funny/sarcasm? because i dont get it. if you want a change - stop talking about it and go for it...even if you were to fail, you can at least say you tried it...

somehow i cant avoid the you only live once bs, because its true.

i hope the writer got a nice tip from employers/industry tycoons in the UK for the last sentence.
stop dreaming about meaningful/interesting jobs and get your lazy ass back to work! :touched:

So a week ago my boss asked me to do a certain analysis and to present it on Friday. Guess what I'm doing at 5am in the night. Somebody is getting his ass kicked so bad @DAiDEViL will hear it in Bavaria. On the plus side I want to quit this job anyway

After two "hard" days at work after the holidays I decided to reward myself with few beers.

So tired, maybe just some beer and Madden 16 for me today!
