Culture isn't fixed and immutable. That's the fallacy. It's as much a fallacy as any cultural group who claims a historical heritage to a specific land mass: that's all b.s. in the scope of time on earth.

People who think that culture should be immutable are just worshipping dinosaurs.

Culture is appropriated all the time. Every time you see a white dude playing rock music. Every time someone who isn't from India starts taking up yoga. Resisting that is Sisyphean and futile. Thinking that you can resist that is delusional. To believe otherwise would have us still sitting in caves throwing our feces at the wall.
This always is a key part in their accusations.

:D

I've had two yoga mats rolling around in the trunk of my car for the past year. And I don't even do yoga.

Something like sharia is a product of its time, place, and cultural situation. There are systems of society that made sense when we were isolated tribes of hunter-gatherers that have no rational place in a modern civilized society, for example. Just as if humanity is befallen by a zombie apocalypse, or even with small parties starting to colonize Mars, most of today's accepted systems of social governance wouldn't make any sense.

Many "civilized" societies were based on the idea of slavery a few centuries ago. There's no reason to get all nostalgic about it now and pretend we can act today like slavery is still legal and moral.
I'm not disagreeing with you. But often people will try and say that culture isn't static, that we had different ideas in the past too, that you need to see where others come from.

And that's all well and good but sharia is still retarded. You might understand why people believe in such a retarded legal system, but you don't have to respect it.

But yes, I'm a race realist, if that's racism then it is.
Did you guys get some mass PR memo where this is how you term yourself as past years? :D

Its common now by outright skinheads or direct racists here (like our SD party) to sugarcoat by saying they are just race realists, they skirt around the termanology before they they eventually just say the same ignorant lines thats been said for centuries.

My meaning was that she's more likely to say what's on her mind than American girls. American girls will let stuff stew for months before letting you have it, even if it's a tiny issue. My girlfriend will tell me if I do something she doesn't like right away.
Throw a ring at her :D

any relationship problems so far?
Nope. We're only a couple months in.

We did have our first "fight" the other day. I called her dude in front of her friends. She told me on our drive home that I shouldn't do that because it's like I'm making fun of the relationship and that she was pretty pissed. I told her I wouldn't do it again. Now we're good.

Then she speaks English? What language do you speak to each other?

Seriously sounds like a keeper. Hate when they keep the most minor thing bubbling for ages and blurt it all out out of nowhere and blind side you, expecting you to have been a mind reader all along.
