I can't. My English ain't good enough to make a valid point on that matter. I've tried it before and got banned... Wish I could open your eyes too.

It's a complicated matter really, does not have so much to do with skin color. It has so much to do with culture etc. too...
Fair enough.

And your family would be cool with your blonde Christian girlfriend?
We weren't talking about Lapas family's ideas, i was talking about his.

To answer your question, yes they would be ok with that. But even if we suppose they're not, that's not a racial thing it's a religious one, and people can change their religion, they can't change their skin color.

I just find it remarkable how many people with different ethnicities and religious background claim discrimination and racism but are really just the same.

Personally I can understand not liking religious people. I think religion is weird and backwards and I don't see the difference with superstition at all.

But racism? I will never get that. Why would you hate someone because he looks different? In the 16th century you could have been xenophobic, but today there are no excuses.

If your family would be fine with it, I am glad.

HELP

You saying eliminating RUS virtually isn't enough for Marty so he sent a hitman?
Definitely agree with that. We have our own share of Russia lovers in this part of the world. The ironic thing is they'd all choose to move to the US or UK all day long over their beloved super power Russia.

Culture isn't fixed and immutable. That's the fallacy. It's as much a fallacy as any cultural group who claims a historical heritage to a specific land mass: that's all b.s. in the scope of time on earth.

People who think that culture should be immutable are just worshipping dinosaurs.

Culture is appropriated all the time. Every time you see a white dude playing rock music. Every time someone who isn't from India starts taking up yoga. Resisting that is Sisyphean and futile. Thinking that you can resist that is delusional. To believe otherwise would have us still sitting in caves throwing our feces at the wall.

I don't think it's fixed. I also think some cultures are better than others. Sharia for example is a different legal system. It is also a bad legal system.

:D

I've had two yoga mats rolling around in the trunk of my car for the past year. And I don't even do yoga.

Something like sharia is a product of its time, place, and cultural situation. There are systems of society that made sense when we were isolated tribes of hunter-gatherers that have no rational place in a modern civilized society, for example. Just as if humanity is befallen by a zombie apocalypse, or even with small parties starting to colonize Mars, most of today's accepted systems of social governance wouldn't make any sense.

Many "civilized" societies were based on the idea of slavery a few centuries ago. There's no reason to get all nostalgic about it now and pretend we can act today like slavery is still legal and moral.

Like I said, I cannot tell you in English everything that I would like to. It would open your eyes too.

This point is cool.

Sometimes you can find microwavable fish and veggie items in the freezer section. Also, my grocery store back home has asian noodles in the healthy aisle. Usually they're made of something decent and have a lot less sodium than the other shit. If you have a fridge, you can salad.

This always is a key part in their accusations.
