The GMO freak-out seems a little in line with those who freak out about fluoride in drinking water. It's a bit weird to go crying about things being "unnatural" while in the meantime our crops have become freakish, factory-farmed monocultures ... and most animal husbandry is no different.
People also freak out about trace doses of chemicals like BHT that might make it in their Jamba Juice, but meanwhile they happily dose up the thing with their mysterious and vague health-themed "Boosts" which have mystery ingredients, have never been tested and validated for health concerns, and only been in existence for a few years. And yet they shit in their pants about potential health side effects for something like coffee, which humans have over 1,000 years of epidemiological evidence to show it's pretty much irrelevant to our health.
