I eat chicken breasts all the time and they're fine. GMO stuff catches way too much shit. It comes down to making bad choices and using food as a comfort. No one is supposed to eat a tub of ice cream in a sitting yet a surprising amount of people do. Skip the drinks at Starbucks loaded with sugar and cream. Think about what you're putting into your body.

Sure, that's why I mentioned food quality. I'd say the majority of food in grocery stores is not quality food. Add into that the advertising machine of the US food industry and it isn't surprising to see why people make the choices they do.

I think the biggest reason for obesity is our propensity to chalk everything up to personal responsibility and play the blame game rather than simply demanding a higher standard from the food industry.

From an economics perspective, you buy the cheapest food you can while keeping everything else equal. If we eat garbage everyday, we will for the rest of our lives. It's up to the people to change their ways, just like everything else in life.

What I find weird in America is the taste of vegetables and fruit. They all taste like water. I'm not sure if it's me, but the taste in Europe seems 'fuller'. Not sure if that makes sense, just something both me and my girlfriend noticed.

You know the last thing I want to do is give you more ammo but truth be told, fruits and vegetable in Europe, at least in the Mediterranean countries really do taste differently than they do here.
