Basically it looks like enough to keep myself alive. I'll be sharing a house with two others but only buying stuff for myself. For instance going to the supermarket in a week I'd probably only spend $250 or something like that? Regarding transport I think I'll be within walking distance of work, and for example a bus to Mexico city costs $50. Sounds reasonable, no?

I would ask @ALC but I'm still laughing at an American mocking other countries' currency :D (inb4 a Dane comes and schools me too...)

The school are also suggesting I go for 6 months on a tourist visa...pretty sure that's illegal to do any work (even volunteer or humanitarian work) on a tourist visa. Waiting for clarification on that but they already have lots of European staff so there must be a way around it.
Oh shit negro, you're right next to Nevado de Toluca. Really nice hike if you're in to that thing.

I guess. Crude oil is dirty cheap as of now. There are a lot of reforms going on, on energy, telecommunications, education, etc etc :blah: most of them are not wanted by a big part of the country and certainly no one likes our president.

If he actually wanted a change he would have started the construction of a refinery, so we could make our own gas, and not get anally debasted by the rising prices every year.
I thought you guys had a treaty with Germany to start building refineries?

Anywho Pinche Piña's policies all seem to involve giving subsidies to the poor and dumb shit like extending the school day. PRI doesn't seem to know what it's doing with communication to the people. Can't quite manipulate the people like they could before 2000.

Anyone else having problems with tuz lately? It's been very slow for me. Just wondering if it's only me or others as well.

Oh yeah, and whenever I post it keeps asking if I want to leave the page or not.

@adRHCP and @Enron are you guys anywhere near Metepec?

Got the visa issue sorted by committing to a year there. They'll sort me a visa which means I've accepted the job and can't fucking wait to start!

I am in Tlaxcala which is 2.5 hours is from Metepec. I've been through that area a few times. Valle de Bravo (very close to Metepec) is a big tourist destination and soon to be location of Mexico's 1st? ski resort.
