Well the reason I don't is not just because of me, but also because I don't want the rest of the group to be caught in the middle. One time I did go hang out with some friends and one of my ex-friends was there too, she just took it as an opportunity to talk more shit about me and people were clearly uncomfortable. "Why was she invited, she's this, she did this, blah blah blah". But since she'd been friends with most of the people in the group for much longer than me, they didn't want to just stop inviting her out, so I eliminated myself from the situation. For a while I mostly just went out with individuals from the group or a smaller number of them at a time.
These days I don't even hang out with any of them anymore because I started getting a feeling that they were believing the stuff she was saying about me.
