But... but... he can't do nothing about it.
I could, but as a mod he could undo again. So what's the point of that game?

Again, this goes back to my earlier point. Mods may seem like tyrants to the rest of you, but in the end we have to find ways to work with each other.

Mods and admins here don't have the option to permanently remove posts?
There is a sort of nuclear option. But in 99% of the time we don't employ it for a variety of reasons.

What really bothers me here is that we've escalated what started as someone who said "don't click on this" and put it in a spoiler tag into the level of nuclear options to resolve, which is pretty much idiocy-level overreaction from everyone involved.

People need to keep cool heads and not go all Kim Jong-il ... nor encourage others to do the same. We are collectively failing at that right now. I mean collectively: mods, posters, etc.

Sometimes what I do that might seem like a double standard is primarily an attempt to thwart a nuclear holocaust for everyone involved. Sometimes little things need to slide, because the alternative of making a big deal over them makes everything worse for everybody.

Ahh, the concessions and tradeoffs of global politics. :D

I'll just start pming you guys.

The whole reason I'm blatantly fucking with you guys is because I followed the rules and you were still butthurt. I explained what I was posting, I told you not to look, and used a spoiler; yet, I was still in the wrong? How?

It was not off topic, it was VERY on topic, so that's not a reason.

What did I do wrong?
If youre still not over those who complained about your spoilers, when hidden by tags, then pm them your spoilers ffs. Dont get all butthurt and start posting untagged spoilers again for anyone who uses that thread to accidentally come upon. That's low.

That's what you did wrong.

I completely disagree with this and quite frankly I am disappointed by it. The spoiler tag doesn't negate the intent behind it, which was to troll and disrupt. Burke claimed innocence yet went on a rampage the minute we complained about it instead of politely apologising and moving it to the book thread. In addition to this there have been a number of posts before his, complaining about posting ANY book spoilers in the thread, tagged or otherwise which I am sure you guys must have seen. There is also a book thread which he could have discussed all of this in.

thats still pretty gay. how are those who havent read the book supposed to know if its a real or fake spoiler...
Exactly. *Sigh* I usually come here mainly to discuss GoT because I am excited about discussing any theories with you guys. I wish I didn't have to get involved in all this board politics.

Only on Tuz a situation involving a guy posting spoilers about a TV series ends up being compared with nuclear negotiations.

Meh I am tired of fighting so: If they don't involve spoilers by all means...

Why are you reading spoilers anyway? Why not just read the book and discuss it in the book thread?
