The Golden Age of Tuz has truly ended.
To quote Woody Allen:

"Nostalgia is denial - denial of the painful present... the name for this denial is golden age thinking - the erroneous notion that a different time period is better than the one ones living in - its a flaw in the romantic imagination of those people who find it difficult to cope with the present."

I think it ended circa 2011
2011 B.C.

Actually, that's spot on and wisdom lvl 999.

In my 10+ years here, the Tuz has always been the Tuz. Same circus with complaints coming from, and about, different clowns. :D

Actually, about the time I joined there was a sort of "more supportive" golden age that Martin talks about -- that soon ended. But you'll have to ask him details on that.

I agree. Like people who say soccer was better in the 90s. Or people who want to live in "simpler" times. Good luck if you get sick is all I have to say.

That's actually a great quote, though I'm guilty of nostalgia on many occasions myself.

Say what you want but music from the past, mostly till 80 is much much better then the shit we're forced to hear today.
You just say that because you only remember the good songs from the 80s instead of radio pop. They had it back then too.
The way I see it, music, and art in general, is something that transcends time. I see no reason why we should only listen to music produced in recent years rather than listen to something from the 70s.

Exactly, Sheik. My posts on 'tuz are art as well. My material can be reread over and over again. It's just damn good posting.

80s were prolly some of the best times in the human history, relative peace just enough tech advent to make life enjoyable without feeling overwhelmed and the good ol' US of A overcoming the evil ruskis
Down with the commies. I wasn't alive so I really can't refute that :D
